On the positive side…

Time for brea to start, JR too passive and nonchalant for road SEC games. SEC is a little different than BYU & I’ll say I’m pretty disappointed in Carr as well. To be older guys, they sure play like freshman way too much when the jawing starts and some physical play happens.

Robinson would be better coming off the bench. He doesn't start well. Maybe, if he's on the bench watching the game he'd have a better feel for the game. He came off the bench last year at BYU and was their leading scorer.

Starting spot no way
He should be in the game before Amare. Amare disappears way too much to be relied upon as the guy in that spot. Garrison is a bit of a baby deer at times but you know you’re getting consistently high energy and he’s not taking shit from anyone, which is part of what this team is missing as a group

I'm afraid he'll completely check out if he has to come off the bench. That's the vibe I'm getting. Tonight he acted like a player more worried about starting status after a mistake, than actually learning from the mistake and growing some thick skin. He reminds me of Wheeler and the kid years ago who ended up quitting on the team and transferring. I hope I'm wrong about all of this.

Robinson needs to start playing better otherwise its gonna look bad on Pope for playing him so much
It’s okay. We will get more media reports of him being the last one on the court shooting and Instagram posts from him about being in the gym at 10pm.

If we struggle on defense anyway, why not just play 5 out and move Brea to the starting five with Carr at the 5?

I’m only half kidding.

Agree, he seems more interested in personal stats vs. team success

So tired of watching passive play from bigs and then Robinson nowhere to be found on road games, garrison and brea need to be in the starting 5 going forward. The lack of fight or sense of urgency is alarming & this isn’t a stellar SEC team…….miss st has to be lunching their chops for these guys, especially our “post” players.

Brandon Garrison has earned himself the starting spot over Amare.

Amare and Jaxson should get minimal minutes until they play like they actually want to be here. I just don’t get winning the genetic lottery and playing like you don’t care.
I do wonder if Jaxson would be more comfortable as the 6th man, same role he played for two years at BYU. I would still start Amari, but I think it’s worth trying Brea over Jaxson and see how they both respond.
