I don't understand why he constantly feels the need to talk down to BBN.

Why do all you fans that dislike Cal spend so much time hanging onto his every word? So stupid. If I dislike someone, I couldn't care less what they say, as I will just ignore them altogether. If Cal drives some of you guys to utter contempt of him, stop listening to him. Unbelievable.
