Old timer here

Also 68. My dad was transferred to Lexington in 1962. Lived there until 1966, the Cotton Nash/ Louis Dampier era then moved away and had to listen to Cawood fading in and out. Went to UK in 75 and was a "student" on and off until 1980, living in Haggin Hall and Kirwan Tower. Saw every home game there including the great 1978 team. Moved west in 84, and saw the implosion in Seattle at the final 4. Not many games in person since then, but took my four kids to the regional final in 1997 in San Jose. Mark Pope was there as a spectator, and he talked to us for about 20 minutes and signed all our UK gear. Saw a game in Portland, and went to the great game in Vegas when Monk went crazy. Have a house on Lake Cumberland and I try to get back there every year in the fall. This year UK basketball is as fun as ever.

I feel like a baby in this thread I'm 45 years old and have been a CAT since birth my remembering years are basically when Pitino came aboard. I love what Pope has brought back to the team this year he's done a helluva job considering injuries and one helluva strength of schedule to get the wins he's gotten! He's definitely righted our program and I look forward to this run in the tournament and the future of our program!

How many of you old timers did like me, and watched the Cats on TV with the volume all the way down while listening to Cawood on the radio? Sometimes the slight lag between the two could be annoying, but Cawood was worth it.
