Not trying to usurp the Mod's - just one last response to the Duke poster... KAT said nice things about an older teammate - and maybe that teammate helps him basketball-wise. What is KAT supposed to say when asked about a teammate?

What many were referring to is the character of the players and the contrast there-in. By your standard Okafor played for a HOF coach that coaches professionals as the head coach of USA basketball - spent a whole college season with him. So why the shortcoming in character - was he not coached and mentored? KAT caught a real break being on the team with KG - but Okafor missed out (though coached a season by the GOAT)? Okafor is proving, by his repeated choices, to be a person of poor character and lacking in self control.

You're slick and think you are just a little smarter than, a little superior to anyone else here... snarky, divisive and as mentioned very disingenuous - ie typical Duke. Some are buying - some see through you. Just an educated opinion. Not an idiot, troll or otherwise. You are the king of the insincere, backhanded compliment... which is fine - just know we are not all fooled.

Okafor is an idiot coming from a Duke fan. There really is no defending his actions and if you check out the thread on DI not many are. He absolutely could benefit from some veteran leadership on that team.

Probably that too. I'm sure going from winning his whole life to a team who can't win has a negative effect on ones attitude. Either way its poor character. He never showed anything like this during HS or while at Duke. Maybe its the money that makes him feel entitled to a whole new level. Some people just don't deserve to be rich.

That's a poor reflection on Jahlil if it's true. Nerlens Noel, for example, isn't having the same issues.

Lots of pro athletes have this problem. They get pampered way more than people like you or I do, hence the entitlement.

If it's the losing then how come the other players on team like Noel for example aren't doing the same things?

Losing sucks but it doesn't make Okafor do what he did. Don't make excuses. Hold him responsible, make him grow up and mature and learn.
