The big difference is they only play 1 or 2 hard game in their conference every year, and that's not every year. In the SEC, especially in the west they'd be lucky to win 3 games a year most years. They're not used to the speed or roughness throughout a year.Playing a true FR at QB who had no experience, without Marvin Harrison, Jr who is always open + several other opt outs = not the same OSU team that went 11-1. OSU would consistently be in the top 2 or 3 every year in the SEC. I hate them, but they put a whole lot of talent on the field, came within a whisker of beating GA last year (and would've killed TCU to be national champs). They are well represented on NFL rosters. B10 is not as good top to bottom, but OSU would be a powerhouse in the SEC. You're kidding yourself if you believe otherwise.
Valid but not exactly the pointThat’s a pretty classic example of how to lie with statistics…to compare the stats for Vandy against ANY SEC team vs OSU against only bowl eligible SEC teams is disingenuous.
What is Vandy’s record in the last 20 or 30 games against the SEC teams they’ve played with winning records at season’s end? I think it’s pretty ugly, right?

Playing a sec schedule of 8 games, they would drop 2 games on regular basis is my argument. They would have had a difficult time making the playoffs in the 4 team arrangement in the last decade. Had the playoffs been the 12 team scenario in the last decade, their odds would have been much higher, hypothetically speaking.Playing a true FR at QB who had no experience, without Marvin Harrison, Jr who is always open + several other opt outs = not the same OSU team that went 11-1.
