Oh my...Kennard gets wrecked

I think he tripped over the mid-court basketball logo. He'll be a perfect 4 year player for Dukies...spot up shooter that can't play a lick of defense.

As someone with experience I hate when the texture of the floor changes when you don't expect it. It does take getting used to.

Played on many logo floors. Had nothing to do with the floor in my opinion. Those logos have polyurethanes over them just like the wood. He just lacks foot speed and got shook.

Somewhere, I can still hear Dick Vitale reminding the world how good Kennard is going to be.

Media already talking about Jeter and Kennard being wildly overrated, multi-year projects.

Check out some of the pics from Duke's 2K "championship" today. Ingram is standing behind all the other guys celebrating looking like his pet dog just died. I can sense chemistry issues being a problem this year for Duke.

Gracie Allen is an immense ball-hog, and it's going to be his show this year. Not much room for anyone else to shine when you're given the green light to take 15-20 shots a game. I suspect Murray could score 25 a game if Cal let him, but our guys are learning to play as a team with multiple talented players - because that's what they'll need to do in the NBA.

Personally, I think there's a real good chance this Duke team implodes. Like, 5 or 6 seed (normally a 7 or 8 seed if you're anyone else). Their recruits are just too weak. No real front-court depth or even that much big man talent.

Everyone wanted to king Coach K of the OAD's, but that was a stellar class that carried him for the season. As Kentucky fans know, you don't always get those classes. Some take a while to come together and some recruits just don't pan out. It'll be interesting to see how he does this year, don't think it's going to be easy.

We absolutely MERCED Allen, and this is a young, not-there-yet Kentucky team. He's one dimensional, and players are going to figure him out. Shut Allen down and Duke will lose.

It is ridiculous that players for Duke flop so much. If the referee sees a flop the play should be reviewed and if confirmed the player should be ejected and suspended for half of the next game. I would like to see a rule similar to targeting in football, that would put a end to this nonsense.

Lol - just realized that was the patented Duke fake flop and not Kennard getting his ankles broken on defense. Damn - that's embarrassing.

Kid lacks quickness and lateral agility but his plant foot clearly slid on the paint some which made it look worse than it was. Ip the move wasn't that strong. Average spin dribble but slow footed defender slipping some was all that was

Jeter has always been a guy that needed time and strength. I think Kennard will be okay but guys like Vitale were really, really, really overhyping him.

That was ALL flop, nothing else. The moment the GTown players arm slightly extended, Kennard went down. After years and years of viewing various Duke players doing stuff like this, one MUST assume this is taught by the coaching staff. Although I'd like to call them out for doing so, you gotta admit that it's been pretty effective and has led to much success for the program overall. Ugh.

Ha, IDC what anyone says.. I miss Dykes calling our games. He was kind of our own Dickie V, always pumping our team up. He knew the game well, which puts him past half the announcers out there, right off the bat.

I thought it was pretty obvious that his left foot slipped when he planted it just above the C in BIC.
True though he's not very quick

I'm not a Duke fan but you are correct. his left foot slid. Good catch.

Cal recruited him and I was hoping that he would pick UK. He really is more Duke material though, and I agree he wouldn't get much playing time with the Wildcats.

Our daughter was a dancer. There's a joke about actors, dancers, and marks on the floor. Put a mark on the floor and an actor will trip over it. Remove a mark from the floor and a dancer will trip over it.
