Elway won more games for his team than any other QB. There were 2 years where he had any supporting cast and the dominated the NFL. If Elway had Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Gronkowski he would have ripped off 5 or 6 superbowls. I'd be impressed if you could name one other player who played on Elways teams prior to the two Super Bowl years. He went to 3 superbowls and the playoffs every year with a bunch of chumps.

Joe Montana..4-0 Super Bowls..3 MVPS

Terry Bradshaw..4-0 Super Bowls..2 MVPS

Tom Brady..4-2 in Super Bowls..3 MVPS

Different era for each QB. However Brady has done it with out Hall of Famers at the RB and WR positions.

Montana, Brady and Bradshaw are all three over-rated because they played for good teams. Is Robert Horry the best basketball player because he played on 10 NBA championship teams? The best 3 are Elway, Marino and Manning in that order.
