When the game first started, Gundy was talking about Williams being an NBA talent; however, that didn't last long. Williams unnecessarily embarrassed himself from a scoring perspective.
No big mystery, he’s simply a non-offensive player. He shoots a flat shot he has no touch, but he’s a great athlete

We would easily make the s16 healthy so I can’t hold it against these guys if they don’t. We aren’t close to optimal level right now health wise. I just hope Chandler and Garrsion play as good. Maybe get a spark from Noah or AA. Oweh keeps cooking, let Brea fire away, Butler to be 70% of his normal self, Carr to be consistent, and Amari to get back to his better games.
That dude looks better than he has in YEARS. And he’s a national treasure. If you love sports and drink booze, I can’t imagine not liking Charles Barkley.

Stan has been taking too many Ozempic shots. Affecting his brain. Williams has never been anywhere close to an NBA player.
Oweh and Carr were awesome tonight. Everyone else had a less than memorable game. But honestly, those two will have to carry the offense. Williams HAS to be better to beat anyone worth a damn. Same for Butler. Brea needs to hit shots when it matters and not just when we are up 15-20. And Pope HAS to ride with those five guys. He rotates lineups on Sunday like he did tonight and Xavier or Illinois will beat our ass like a drum. We’ve got a chance though. Just have to maximize what we’ve got. Then we’re playing with house money after that.

Yup the best weekend would be a Pitino win and Kentucky to finish out the first weekend. Let’s make the sweet 16 and see what happens. Healthy or not give it our all. maybe Chandler, AA, Noah, and Perry can play better than anyone expects and lift us up to a victory Sunday. We will be in good shape if we rebound better, play defense, and Butler gets back to contributing a little more.
Hopefully Williams got his clunker of a game out of the way.

Yeah overall the SEC did what it needed too. Texas easily could have advanced and Mississippi State if they played a little better.
Williams needs to dunk everything he can and please at least lay it off the glass.

Am I weird for being excited about the Cal/Pitino matchup tomorrow? Honestly, those two dudes (in their prime) were my idols. Just absolute mavericks in their own way. My old HS coach affectionately called me “Slick Rick” when I first started coaching because of my affinity for Pitino. I took it too far. Overdressed. Tried to be too pretty. And pressed your ass the second you got off the bus. Thankfully I got smarter and 1/4 zips became a thing! 😂

Not at all, that game is gonna be awesome and for the first time we don’t have a stake in the game. Pressure free.
I think that’s it. I can just sit back, enjoy the theater, remember the good times, and just be a fan.
It way better than losing that for damn sure. Last few early tournament exists not only were embarrassing as a program but definitely hurt as a fan.
That said, I can't truly be happy until we can get out of the first darn weekend.
Kentucky needs to get in that sweet 16 and put our name back on the map!
