I didn't read all of this, but I agree Cal is a great coach. All I'm saying is, since this is his formula for winning, I believe this might be your most talented roster yet. And since y'all have won it all with this formula and played for another, I expect greatness from this group, whether you lost most of your scoring or not. The players coming in are usually just as good and are around the same age.

And again, if he wins it all after losing 5 starters and 93% of his offense, he will have done what no other coach in the history of the NCAA has done....so your expectations might be a little high... there have been 1000's of GREAT coaches in the NCAA...start naming them, NONE of them were able to overcome losing 5 starters and 93% of their scoring... sweet 16, elite 8, final four....all would be something no other coach in the NCAA has done after losing 5 starters and 93% of it's scoring. Winning it all would be an unimaginable feat for a coach to pull off after losing what Calipari lost....recruits or no recruits... hell...MAKING the NCAA tourney after losing 93% of your scoring would be an AMAZING feat for any coach, well...apparently any coach not named John Calipari, for him, it's expected. You guys are returning 4 starters and 81% of your offense... so your expectations of your upcoming season must be through the roof!! Just out of curiosity... what must YOUR team do next year for you to consider them a success?

It really makes what Cal did in 15-16 pretty amazing. It was our second worst season under Cal, but considering we lost not just our starting five, but our top seven players, makes it astonishing. We were all disappointed with a second round loss, but we had only three experienced guys back. One was never 100% back from an injury. How do you lose your top seven scorers and still make the tourney? How do you lose four lottery picks and have a competitive team?

And 2011 was pretty amazing. Lost four starters from 2010, four guys who are still playing in the NBA now (two are superstars, one is a star, and the last is a major role player), and go to the Final Four the next year? No one does that.

Cal is a pretty amazing coach and many fans do not appreciate what he is able to do.

So you think it would be an amazing feat for Calipari to make the NCAA tournament with the roster he is going to have? As for us, I don't have expectations, because we have a dud as a head coach who doesn't recruit well. But this isn't about us.

I think it is amazing for ANY coach to make the NCAA tourney after losing all five starters....it must be an amazing feat because I can't put together a very long list of coaches who have done it, hell I looked for a short period of time, I couldn't find any. What I am saying is, if Calipari makes the NCAA tourney this year after losing five starters and 93% of his scoring...he will do what very few if any coaches have ever done, if he makes the sweet 16...WOW...if he makes the elite 8..HOLY COW....if he wins the title...he has done the impossible, lose all five starters, 93% of his scoring, win the championship....something NO OTHER COACH IN NCAA HISTORY has done.

But then again, he made a run to the elite 8 last year, after losing 4 starters, 6 out of 7 of his leading scorers and 80% of his offense...made an elite 8 run, a basket away from the final four...so...he has already done what no other coach that I can find has done..the IMPOSSIBLE to anyone other than John Calipari.

I can see this isn't going anywhere. Have a good day.

Right, it's not...because you want to say "anything less than winning it all is a failure" and I am going to keep telling you that winning it all after losing five starters is a feat no other coach in college basketball has ever done.

I was speaking more hyperbolically than anything. My point is, the roster is absolutely loaded. Y'all should be damn good. That's it.

Right, I understand your sentiment... but what I am saying is, starting from the beginning... losing pretty much your home team, start at recruiting to replace them, it's a big part of it, and move on from there. Step one, Calipari lost his whole team... at that point, what would you call his chance of making the NCAA tourney the following year? Slim to none..the sweet 16 would seems pretty far fetched, winning it all would be impossible... now move on to recruiting, he puts together all of these five star players and now, he is in the mix talk for competing to win it all...but...at the moment he lost his whole team, any coach at that moment, if someone said...they could still win it all next year, you wouldn't put your money on it. A few months later it's being said "with a team like that, anything short of winning it all...." But...go back to Calipari lost 5 starters, 93% of his offense...and call his chances of winning the tourney the following year at THAT point..before you know what he is going to get done through recruiting...what chance would you give him, and not just him..any coach, 1%? 5%? So if you go from there...If Calipari wins the whole damn thing, he did so beating EXTREMELY steep odds...if you start those odds at the moment he lost 5 starters, and 93% of his scoring.

10-man rotation? Doubtful.

SGA might make it 9 guys, just because we have little depth at guard.

Baker will more than likely be the best shooter on this team, and Alexander is a big guard, we lnow cal loves his big guards! It wont be the first time weve used a 10man rotation and with the youth and talent we have we almost have to go a 10 man

I would be very surprised to see Baker get double digit minutes every game. Too much talent ahead of him at guard.

We only have 4 guards on the roster that can play, Green, Diallo, Alexander, and Baker. Baker would likely be our best 3pt shooter next season something we will need. Likely to se 10 to 15 a game for his shooting alone!
