That's insane. You have to win it all with that roster.

Alexander and Baker make it into the rotation!

Deep late 90's style rotation. The biggest question marks are the biggest guys but worse comes to worse there are several nasty combinations of some pretty long and skilled "small ball" lineups that might generate fits for opponents on both ends of the floor.

I also think Wenyen comes back as a man possessed and gets the starting nod.

I think you are under selling Washington a bit

Why? Because he isn't starting?

He'll play lots of minutes, regardless.

What is funny is if I put Washington in over Vanderbilt or Knox or Richards, then someone would blast me for underselling them.

That's how loaded our team is.

We can only start five 5-stars, which means three have to come off the bench.

Insane amount of talent. We are just so young.

I can't believe every one in this thread has relegated SKJ and Gabriel to non-starters. They were pretty highly rated in a much deeper class than all of your incoming post players and have a year of experience under their belts.

We're not killing them by any means. Here comes the typical preseason hyperbole. We have more five stars they have more experience, so it evens out.
we double they 5stars but they dont have overwhelming experience...its not like they have a bunch of seniors..and what preseason hyperbole? did i say we number 1 or we will win the ship?

Green or Alexander at point in a closer competition then people think
Diallo
Knox
Wenyen to start the season but could be taken from vanderbilt or Washington
Skj to start the season, richards could overtake it

Implying our roster kills theirs is hyperbole. Arizona is stacked.

Great point!

I think everyone is infatuated with the "shiny new toys."

I have WG and SKJ starting at the beginning of the season.

Regardless, we have eight 5-stars and I think all eight play big minutes.

To start the season, I'll go with:
Green
Diallo
Knox
Gabriel
Richards

This will be Cal's best rebounding team here. Absurd length at every position. Quality depth. Two great passing and rebounding forwards that can do a little bit of everything (Washington and Vanderbilt). Two wings that can get inside and score the ball (Knox and Diallo). A smart lead guard that led the EYBL in assists and steals per game (Green). A sharpshooter off the bench (Baker) and a jack of all trades sort of guard that continues to get better (SGA). A center that can hopefully develop into a rim protector and lob machine (Richards) and two returning 5 star bigs (Gabriel and SKJ) that have a ton of potential but need to put in the work to develop a meanstreak and get a lot tougher (no Billy G) in the off-season so that they can be depended upon to do work in the post.

Wish we had one more big...

We have 5 legitimate players 6'8 or taller.. and a 6'7, and Tai is also 6'10
Ricahrds-6'11
SKJ- 6'10
Gabriel-6'9
Knox- 6'8
Washington-6'8
Vanderbilt- 6'7

What do you consider "big", and how many do you want?
Our Starting Line up....will likely feature 6'11, 6'9, 6'8, 6'5, 6'0.. with the subs being 6'10, 6'8, 6'7, 6'5, 6'3.. this is a big team.. 11 players with an average height of 6'7 is a big roster..6'7 is HUGE for an average height of a roster...it might be the biggest in the NCAA this year...remove the point guards and the average height of the 2 thru 5 spots, including subs is 6'8.. HUGE team.
