I don’t care which one is in, just play hard and do the right things.Notice, Amari was on the bench late in the game. He's not as good of a passer, but we get way more effort out of BG

He did tonight although he did have some head scratchersOur team gets beat to lose balls and rebounds too often. Garrison gives us more than Williams imo
UK made 11/21 from three for 52%.We've got to do better at getting shooters open. We were lighting them up from 3 and then let UL dictate our offense. That's been happening a lot lately and why our shooting had been struggling from 3 (Butler saved us today). We didn't get a lot of good looks like we gave UL after they started getting out on us. That kept them in the game.
They play hard as hell. He’s gonna be tough if he gets some players and depth.I do not like Louisville, of course but my hat is off to their team and coaching staff.
Pat Kelsey is a very good coach and seems to be a good, likable guy.

Does it get much better than that?
RoothWhich Louisville player was flipping off the fans at halftime?
Maybe not. It would have forced a different style/line up. Who knows what would’ve happenedYes, Butler is back and thank goodness for that. We would have lost had he not been back.
Good teams do that, great teams bust the game open. I hope we continue to improve on defense. Our offense is pretty legit.Tough game, but we kept pushing it back to 10 every time they cut it down
Officiating had nothing to do with the team's absence of effort. This is the 5th game in a row that we have played with little defensive effort. Our bigs play like they are 6'8".I really think a lot has to do with the officiating we tend to get. Makes them afraid to really defend
Just my opinion
2 points in the last 4 minutes. Literally giving this game to UL
Garrison is a ball stopper. He just holds it. Early in the year we rarely dribbled.Notice, Amari was on the bench late in the game. He's not as good of a passer, but we get way more effort out of BG
Agree to a degree but take a look at the fact basically 2 guys did it. Those 2 were 9-18. Outside those two UL was 5-21 from 3.I don't think we were THAT bad on defense.
A team shooting 28% from 3 on the season came in and hit a bunch more than 28% of their threes lol.
Just another reminder that 3s are always more random than 2s.
Which is weird, because Pope was all about that as a player. You would think he would pound that into their heads. Our team gets beat to lose balls and rebounds too often.
They made several crazy guarded three-point shotsDid you say open looks? We gave them all the looks they could possibly want. They thought they were going through the pregame shoot-around.

Our guys would often give them a step. Need to do better taking away their best options.
Agree with all of this. Just making a few observationsPeople forget Pope had to put this team together from scratch last summer. Scrambling last minute to assemble a team at Kentucky. Put that into perspective and look at what we’ve accomplished so far. If you ask me that’s as good as we could have hope for and has surpassed all my expectations. Let’s enjoy that this is a new era of UK basketball! Top 5 in the country with wins against Duke and Gonzaga with a team assembled in a month…… enough said! Go Big Blue!
he’s like a bad rash he’ll be back.Enjoy kicking rocks yet again.
The issue is, our defense gave them wide open 3's off simple action all game long. UofL didn't just get lucky to hit all those 3's, give any decent college shooter wide open looks and he's going to hit a bunch.I don't think we were THAT bad on defense.

I agree too and he’s done a masterful job. But you don’t have to be Michael Jordan to give effort.Agree with all of this. Just making a few observations
Yes, they did. That is exactly what happens when you allow a team to get comfortable shooting wide open 3s. They start believing they can hit almost anything, and they did. We stood around watching them take those shots as if we thought they would soon start missing. They made several crazy guarded three-point shots
Butler you are amazing thank you for playing tonight
It could be why Williams sat so much of the 2nd half.Which is weird, because Pope was all about that as a player. You would think he would pound that into their heads.
McNeese has been winning most of the game.Is Miss St really just up 1 on McNesse St.........might flip to that lol
Compare the halves. Definitely still shot well, but it was a struggle for most everyone not named Butler in the second half. Thankfully we were better in the paint scoring. I'm just aggravated how we have been letting other teams dictate our offense while we sit back and give them wide open 3's. We let the game be a lot more challenging than it needed to be. Just like against Colgate.UK made 11/21 from three for 52%.
Does it get much better than that?
Whenever Williams touches the ball I am fearful that he going to attempt to back some 5'7" guy under the basket so that he can throw up a brick.Notice, Amari was on the bench late in the game. He's not as good of a passer, but we get way more effort out of BG
I was at rupp tonight and every time butler shot tonight it looked good off his handsDefinitely needed him tonight lol
