Welcome to the Official Kentucky vs Louisville OOC Prediction Contest!

Follow the rules below and make your prediction. I'll publish the results after the game. This is the final game of the 1st of three prediction Contests this season: the OOC Contest, the SEC Regular Season contest, and the Postseason Contest.

Whoever predicts the score closest to the actual score wins. I take the absolute value of the difference of your guess of the Kentucky score and the actual plus the absolute value of the difference of your guess of the opponent score and the actual. There is a penalty for picking the wrong winner. That penalty is the worst score among those who predicted the correct winner. In case of a tie, the tiebreaker is used. In case of a tie in the tiebreaker, we have more than one winner.

I will be awarding points for the first 10 places, including a 3 point bonus for a perfect prediction. I will track cumulative point totals and the number of games you make the top 10. This contest runs for the OOC up until the first SEC Conference game (not sure what I'll do with Kansas, yet).

Your post should look something really close to the example below. Remember the ":"s and the word "Tiebreaker:"! Do not!! use a "-" as a separator because some of our tiebreakers will be negative.

I noticed 3 or 4 people picked UL to win Saturday; I'm curious if this is the first time this has happened this year? Maybe the dUKe game?

We have several players who often predict contrary scores. I think it is a pretty good play since we really are pretty much homers here. Last to pick against the Cats before this game was TnCatFanforever who picked Arizona State over Kentucky. But given that he had Arizona State scoring 667 points, I'm guessing that was more of a typo than a prediction.

Old_Red, I didn't have a typo, I thought the purpose of this contest was to pick the score. You don't have to pick Kentucky do you? I certainly am a UK fan but picked Louisville because I thought they would win

While the official box score showed Louisville with only 21 fouls, I think the total was closer to the 600 that some of you predicted.

Old_Red, I didn't have a typo, I thought the purpose of this contest was to pick the score. You don't have to pick Kentucky do you? I certainly am a UK fan but picked Louisville because I thought they would win

Actually, we have several that do pick against Kentucky and the spread. If we had had anyone pick Ohio State, they would have automatically won no matter how bad their score was.

I am pretty much a homer too, but I get tested on that much more in football than in basketball.

To be fair, your instructions just said "Louisville fouls," not "Louisville fouls actually called by the zebras."
