Your prediction falls into the category of "you not following the rules and me not fixing up predictions that my code can't read when we lose" rule. Since what it read as your prediction wasn't too crazy, I didn't catch it at the time. Don't use "-" as a separator because it screws up my code that could be looking for a negative tiebreaker. You might have noted that a lot of people did that and their predictions were picked up OK. They are just lucky. I had your prediction as Kentucky 48, Ole Miss 20 with no tiebreaker.
You could try copying more closely the others that also used "-" as a separator and get lucky like they did or you could simply use my recommended separator. I'm sorry that you missed out on points but I don't want to get into the mode of looking very closely at every prediction to make sure my code can pick up predictions even when people don't follow the rules. I don't do much by hand and don't want to since it would take too much time.
I use regular expressions in the perl code I wrote for this. They are pretty flexible but also pretty much write only and difficult to change. Small changes now could break a lot of things. There are some regular predictors who do not follow my format at all but my code handles their quirky ways. If I try tweaking the code, I could break them.
Ok. I don’t recall using those in my original prediction and I actually predicted Ole Miss 31-17 but either way I will be careful next time to follow the rules.
