2013 107 100 86
2014 62 64 80
2015 95 80 79
2016 58 102 20
2017 87 97 79
2018 85 117 35
2019 76 127 4
2020 85 91 34

AVG 82 97 52

These numbers show that what we saw this weekend wasn’t just “one of those games.” Our offenses under Stoops have been really poor and have been spread across multiple OC’s. We’ve only had 2 years that we weren’t 90+ in passing offense. I think we need to drastically change the way we approach offense or we won’t make it to the next step. We can’t win every game 17-13.

Points is what it really boils down to for me (I don't really get into the yardage stats) and here are the stats I posted in another thread

- 2020 YTD UK is scoring 24 pts a game that is 70th in NCAA
- 2019 UK scored 26 pts a game for 86th
- 2018 UK scored 25 pts a game for 87th
- 2017 UK scored 30t pts a game for 58th
- 2016 UK scored 24 pts a game for 95th

Bottomline under Stoops/Gran for a 5 year period we are in the 80s (out of 127 teams) and only good for mid 20's pts a game. It's hard to keep teams below 20 pts to win games which is how we approach a plan to win most games. And the passing part of it is why it's not higher...obvious we rush the ball fine in most years and games.

Even Saban has evolved on this!

It's about SCORING not whether you run or pass! Just can't worry about the defense holding teams<20 and winning games not scoring 30+...MS needs to evolve, just don't know if he can /will.

Certainly it’s about scoring at the end of the day, but yardage is a key part of scoring. We have to be able to move the ball better. I showed the year over year stats to try to point out that I don’t think it’s an Eddie Gran issue. I think it’s a strategy issue with Stoops.
