Have heard from a couple of places that Eddie Gran is still the choice. Also hearing that it's still the most likely scenario. Recently heard he may be concerned about the quarterback depth chart. Not sure how much of a hold up that would be if any. Wouldn't be surprised if people beyond Stoops have talked to Gran or are talking to him. If Gran comes I expect Hinshaw to follow.
If it's not Gran then I'm now hearing it would be wise not to rule out Steve Spurrier Jr., in some capacity, maybe as a backup plan as a receivers coach with a different offensive coordinator. Source with knowledge of South Carolina's recent history checked for me and heard that Spurrier is a "maybe" for Kentucky from what they heard.
UK is working on bringing in another quarterback but the way it's been said to me I don't think it's Kiel. May be, can't rule it out. But from what I've been told it wasn't worded in a way that makes me think it's him or someone connected to Gran, but separate altogether. Would be "really big" is all I was told.
