Obsession with Duke

Just to be clear....we aren't hurt about Duke winning the NC. The hurt comes from the fact UK didn't. However, there is a certain amount of ....disgust?...in what seems the consistently easy path they get to the FF, plus the media slurpage.

You all are so butt-hurt about Duke winning it all that you miss the point.

You had the greatest (at least defensively) team in basketball last year and did not win it all.

You should have.

Can we all agree on that point?

UK SHOULD have won it all.

KU lost in the first weekend. No excuses. We went as far as we should have. We just weren't very good.

UK was VERY GOOD, and under-achieved.

I hate Duke along with the rest of you. They are media darlings and have the easiest path in the tourney EVERY YEAR.

But the point is you should have won it all. Clearly.

Why didn't you? We never had a shot. You guys were locked and loaded.

I ask respectfully.

We were never in it for a championship.

Then seemed like world beaters only to lose to Wiscy.

I guess I never got a handle on last year's UK team.

But it doen't really matter. In typical Cal fashion, UK is once again stacked.

But IF Diallo is cleared, I think we got your number this year.

The best, most dominant teams don't always win it. Anything can happen in a one game setting. Just ask the 1991 UNLV and 1999 Duke teams who were considered heavy favorites but didn't bring home the national championship trophy those years.

Pretty simple. Lost in a barnburner to another great team who matched up well against us and were hellbent on revenge after we ripped their hearts out last year. Down the stretch, they made the plays. We didn't. Plus, of all the teams in CBB, they were the one team where Poythress's absence was the biggest. We could have used him on Dekker.
