Obi Agbim

I saw Wyoming play in person and thought they looked like a terrible team. I might be a little concerned if that’s our guy, but I’ll go with the staff on it.

Were you in Laramie? That’s a cool gym right? The ball is lower end but I like how it feels like a big chunk of the town shows up for games.

Ft Collins. GF is a CSU grad and we went for the rivalry game. I should try and sell her on going to one in WY though, that would be fun.

It’s a cool gym. Little indoor mini coliseum set up. Not much else to do but freeze your ass off during basketball season there. Ft Collins is way nicer.

How did Dontaie Allen look ??
Just curious …
Awful lol. Watched first half and Wyoming is absolutely awful. They only have two players that look like D1 and Allen doesn’t even start. I will say I’m impressed by Agbim and I’d love to see him in a UK uniform next year. I’ll provide more specific aspects about his game later that I picked up from watching him. Unfortunately gotta go back to work

UK's portal needs if Kriisa returns:

1. Combo guard
2. Stretch 4
3. Backup 4
Agree, but I just don’t know if garrisson and Moreno are enough in the frontcourt. If Kentucky can get the ewin kid from Florida state of better I think they have to do it. My personal 3 right now are obgim/thorthon, lendenborg, and ewin. But i already know pope has some guys we aren’t even talking about that he likes for Kentucky.

That's why I put that we need a backup 4/5. I don't think you can bring in somebody too good at the five unless you want to run off Garrison. I think he could become an all SEC player. We keep forgetting that he's three grades younger than Williams.

Can Agbim go to his left, create his own shot and, most of all, PLAY DEFENSE ???

Can see that happen to. I can see the garrisson jump but I can see him being what he is still, he is the most unpredictable Kentucky player in awhile. Pope mentioned something about garrison playing the 4, which if he can improve his foot speed and lateral quickness I would be on board with. Garrisson at the 4 and go get a good center.

We won’t know who we should go after until we know who enters. I’d bet there will be some shockers of who enters.

Bless you! My allegeries are acting up as well!

In all seriousness, watched some of his highlights and hes impressive. He is listed as a SR, would he still have eligibility left?
Looks like he went the JUCO route, and on Sports Reference he's listed as a junior. So I don't know what's going on with his class status but I'm going to assume he has some eligibility left.

I’ve only watched one half of basketball so far and will be scouting further tonight. He isn’t a strong frame guy like Butler but he has good defensive instincts. One thing that really jumps off tape is how he is a verbal leader on both sides of the ball. You can very frequently see him using cues to get teammates positioned. He moves very well laterally. He doesn’t look to gamble much but seems comfortable pressing up defensively. On one play a BYU wing had gotten to an angle about 12-14 feet from the basket and Agbim held his ground and wasn’t moved out of position, which tells me has pretty good body strength. He seems to get into a good stance and has good fundamentals all the way around. He won’t be Lamont Butler or anything close but he looks good on first impression. I’ll share more as I find out more
