Not surprising. Mitchell Robinson bolts WKU again

It would be interesting to know what's going on behind the scenes. But one thing is for sure, this kid can't stick with a decision for anything.

Wow.... something is wrong with this kid or whoever he is listening to. Sad !

Read where even one NBA scout/management stated that he wasn't sure this was in Robinson's best interests for the future as it sends up a huge red flag to the NBA. Same person also stated he wasn't even sure that Robinson was all that good either. This kid is either getting really bad advice or he simply isn't all that smart.

Saying he's going to use the year to prepare for the NBA. Why does this kid seem like the guy who gets drafted and lasts about two months max as a pro?

Excellent take. I have the same feeling, this just might be a player we will never hear very much about in the NBA and will be one of those "whatever happened to" type of stories down the road.

So how did it go?

Commit to Texas A&M
Decommit from Texas A&M
Commit to WKU
Attend classes
Decommit from WKU
Interested in transferring to LSU
Changes mind and sticks with WKU
Changes mind again and bypasses college altogether

Is that about right? Thank God we didn't go after this guy.

And there are people, like Bilas, who want to allow players to just transfer at will with no deterrent whatsoever.

This should go well.

Anyone have any info about his handlers? Is he an Adidas kid? It's an odd series of events, especially if he ends up at another program.

If I am an NBA team, I don't care how big he is or how good he works-out. I'm NOT taking him with a 1st round pick. Just too big a risk!!! No he isn't likely to walk out on a multi-million dollar contract, but he is clearly a wildcard that makes bad and careless decisions about his basketball future, so he likely does so in his personal life too.

Bigger red flags get taken in the first round every year, and not many of them are as big and athletic as Robinson. They can posture all they want, if the 24th pick rolls around and you can take a 6 foot senior guard who is capped out or a 7 foot freak, he's coming off the board.

Goodman can always find someone to skew negative if that's the article he's looking to write. And you can bet it is.

Does anyone "like" school? Now that I think about it, he's UNC bound.

I just had that brief discussion with my 6th grader this morning.
Son: "Dad, I don't want to go to school today."
Me: "No one wants to go to school, well except for 7 kids total."

If this is the only red flag after teams investigate him, they'll take him.

If they uncover more, he could slip into the second round.

I don't know the inner details, but it sure sounds like this kid is a major head case.

I've a feeling he may end up as one of those occasional stories you hear about five star players who simply disappeared and never became anything.

Or in jail or dead from a drug deal gone bad. Kid is getting some bad advice from someone out there. If he is as good as they say he could've put up some real gaudy numbers at Western because I doubt there's a big man in CUSA that could stop him and at least he could've shown off his skill set.

May surprise us but sure looks like he may become the subject of a trivia question nobody can answer in a few years.
