Did they? Sure. Clemson is not a good teamClemson played exceptional defense and was the tougher team. At their gym. We will be OK, we’re not going to win them all.
We give the ACC their first win in 10 tries

He can’t handle physical defense and is awful on defense himself. That’s why he didn’t playWhile barely playing the best shooter in the NCAA?
Clemson did not play over their heads lol.we are overrated, we are having about the worst game we can, and its a bum team playing over their head like always against UK.
I expected this. UK doesn't have an NBA caliber go-to guy. We are what I thought we were. A very good.... But not great .... Team. Road games are tough.Well what did you expect after Calipari left? If anything the last Cal years should have shown having NBA talent doesn't mean a whole lot.
You might be the fluke, Do not see you post here and after the first Pope loss you want to come on and start up some threads. Get out of here.Is this a fluke?
Agree with all of that. The problem is that we’ve been exposed. And this wasn’t the first game in which our major weaknesses have been exposed. So that you understand, I’ll spell it out for you:
1. Our bigs are woeful.
2. Our bench is thin. Brea is the only good bench player, and he ought to start.
3. We don’t have a reliable backup point guard. Krissa is a plus/minus nightmare.
4. We are a poor defensive team that gives up a ton of open looks and layups.
5. We do not have a go to scorer.
Mods allow it. Apparently clicks is what mattersYou might be the fluke, Do not see you post here and after the first Pope loss you want to come on and start up some threads. Get out of here.
This is the right answer. Kenpom has them at 11 after tonight. That feels right.Probably somewhere in the middle. They are a little overrated but not a bad team by any measure. A top 20 team that will take some losses along the way
We're 1-1 against good teams, and that feels about right. If we can win the games against the non-tourney SEC teams and split the rest that should get us around 11-7 in conference, which last year was the 6th best record. Win one or two more and you're in contention for a double bye, which would be pretty good for a first year coach in the best conference in CBB.Is this a fluke?
I’m still sticking with the 22-9 or 21-10 final record. The SEC is just to damn loaded this year. Thats why it’s important that Kentucky beat Louisville and OSUThis is the right answer. Kenpom has them at 11 after tonight. That feels right.
I’m a Vikings fan. UK feels a lot like the Vikings.
Transition year, good coaching, experienced players, better than everyone thought, never thought of as truly dominant or elite, but due to the randomness of sports good enough to have a chance.
We struggle against high-caliber, quick and aggressive teams. If I say we’re overrated I’ll get called a troll but I don’t care. We are overrated. We struggle to run fluid offense against Any kind of team that has high major players. Not the cupcakes. Maybe that will change as we get more used to it
Good post … makes sense !!I’m still sticking with the 22-9 or 21-10 final record. The SEC is just to damn loaded this year. Thats why it’s important that Kentucky beat Louisville and OSU
If Pope had last years roster, the results would have been much better.Well what did you expect after Calipari left? If anything the last Cal years should have shown having NBA talent, with mind-numbingly piss poor coaching, doesn't mean a whole lot.
But not having NBA talent... that's the recipe!Well what did you expect after Calipari left? If anything the last Cal years should have shown having NBA talent doesn't mean a whole lot.
I think they are currently a top 12-15 defensive team in the country so I don't think, if they are able to keep that up, they will lose 10 games in a crappy ACC.Great teams don’t let a team like Clemson dictate everything
Clemson is a 10 loss team make no mistake about that
