Just faking it would open up the offense so much, freeze the LBs, and help the O-Line. On top of that it's more opportunities to get the ball in their hands.
Not jet sweeps tho. You just need to get a piece of the end which is usually done with a TE, sometimes you don't even need that. It doesn't have to blocked that well at all. The WR is running full speed when he gets the ball and will almost always be able to beat the DE to the edge.Sweeps require strong edge play from your tackles, to seal the edge, or it gets blown up.
