No panic here

I knew when ALA lost at home the other day it lifted the difficulty level of our game today. They are a good enough team and understand they had to bounce back. We’d won a couple tough games so it was just common sense that today was kind of a tough situation. I’m glad Vandy won a big game at home today. I think that takes a little bit of edge off our game. It’s just the way it works.

Going into SEC play my expectation was 11-7 in conference. After 5 games I think 12-6 with a 9-9 floor and 14-4 ceiling. No panic here

Not blaming the loss on the refs because there is plenty of blame to go around but if this game was played in a FF or EE, the officiating would be different and this game would have a different feel. UK wasn’t at full strength today. If they meet again deep in the tourney and UK is full strength with officiating that is remotely fair, I’d still put my money on the Cats.

It's all house money for me this season. I'm really enjoying the ride Pope is taking this team on. Thr future looks very bright.

We lost. Big deal. Very competitive. Could’ve went either way really. Much better than I thought we’d be with a short timeline. Expecting sweet 16 with this bunch. I like our direction and just happy to feel something when I watch games nowadays. We are in a good place. Go CATS!!!

If anyone thought we’d be 14-3 and #8 in the AP entering this game as Pope and Fueger were putting this team together in 5 minutes, they’d be lying. This season has already been wildly successful, and this team is a FF threat. Today does not change that.
