No matter how it ends

Agreed.

I reeaaaaaalllllyyyy want to win.

Regardless, I think we have shown we are at least equal to Kansas on their home court and are very likely to make a nice run come March.

Agreed, we on "down" year, can still beat anyone on any given night. We have as good a chance as anyone come March. But the officials have made me sick!! I seldom bitch about refs, tonight has been unfair sadly. Tainted one helluva game imo. But whatever, bring in March!!

Once it went to OT we had no chance. Everything was a foul and we ran out of bodies.

That's as tough a situation as we are going to be in all year, and we still got to OT.

Plus, we are getting better.

I know the scoreboard won't show it, but I definitely think we were the better team out there. Plus, our young guys I am sure learned a valuable lesson about what it takes to win when the pressure is sky high.

Lots of reasons to be optimistic going forward. If we can avoid having any more bad losses, I see a good seed and a nice run in the Big Dance.

We had them beat. Tyler makes that pass it's game over. Murray is gonna hit that. hard loss for me to take.

Kids played very hard and gave it all they had.

This game simply reveals our major holes.

Marcus Lee is just not a good basketball player - decent defense at times, no hands , zero offense.

Hawkins provides no offense, yes he's been hurt, but that one game seems to be the anomaly, his shots were awful.

Briscoe at the free throw line is simply embarassing, outside shot looked like it was coming back...

Murray's defense was a major reason for the loss.

It also revealed just how good Tyler is and Alex really stepped up to the occasion.

By tourney time:

I can see Murray improving his defense, Skal improving, Derek continuing to improve but that is a bout it. The other holes dont seem to be improving well enough to make a difference for a long run.

But again, great job hustle wise.

Murray was the difference tonight. Not a good game for him.

No, not Murray. Willis. He and Poythress is our best rebounder. Willis also allows us to spread the court, which helps our guards penetrate.

None of that happen.

Hawkins not playing at all hasn't helped either. Missed all his threes. He just didn't seem confident like UL game. Hopefully he can get back into things.

Great effort by this team tonight - a lot of positives. Don't want to be they guy who blames it on the refs, but when one team shoots 22 FT's and the other shoots 50 that is a lot to overcome. We had 3 big men foul out, and once it went to OT we were toast. Team has really come together and playing much better - can you imagine having Tyler for 4 years?

It does suck bad.

Good news is unlike the big dance, we get another shot at it starting next week.

Just keep improving and there won't be anybody wanting to face us come March.

We played with a lot of effort but had no chance with everyone fouled out going into overtime.

Great effort by the Cats. Losing Seldon on the corner 3 was the biggest play of the game. Looked like Alex and Murray weren't sure whether they were switching or not. Tough loss, great game. Cats are infinitely better than they were 2 weeks.

Wanted to leave with the W, but no shame in taking KU to the wire in Lawrence. Great college game.

Who knows, we might meet up again in March.

Great game.

Guys played their hearts out and should have won.

The best team did not win this game.

Great home court advantage for KU.

Thought our guys played well tonight. Considering the poorly officiated game, we played them hard and had a chance to win at the end of regulation. That's all I wanted to see tonight. But I would have loved to see us walk out with a W

Kind of reminds me of the UNC game at Chapel Hill Cal's second year. We foul out a ton of our guys, they shoot tons of FTs and beat us. I knew at that point we were better than UNC and hoped to see them in the tournament. Once we did, we beat them to go to our first FF in over 10 years.
