loses to C S Fullerton 4-3 in extra innings. Cards have tying run on 1st, he tries to steal 2nd base, and gets thrown out !

Yea, I heard the ruling and saw it. Just asking for the opinions here.

What was the deal with their pitcher going off on the Cal dugout? IMO that was the beginning of the end for UL and showed how claseless some of their players are? Thoughts?

^ Every team has some meat headed idiots...doesn't make them classless as a whole, and he may not be a "classless" individual...just can't control emotions sometimes.

From what I read, he was mad that either signs or his grips were being relayed to the hitters from the 3rd base coach/area. Got news for him, that's baseball. If the catcher cant hide his signals and if he is tipping he pitches its on them. Guarantee UL works on stealing and relaying signs from 2nd...bet they get reads on when the pitcher is picking and when he is going home etc.

I was trying to root for UofL because they essentially had a bunch of Kentucky kids playing for them. But all that mouthing just was so typical of the UofL Athletic Department as a whole that I just couldn't root for them. Karma bit them in the ass on that game too. UofL had several plays that just an inch of two one way or the other and it would have been a different outcome. The catcher overthrow to first that the back-up guy snagged, the passed ball that hit the umpire's leg, the drive down the line that was just foul, and lastly the HR that hit the pole.

Great game though, and it was a fantastic night for college baseball between that game and the TCU-A&M game.

Ft. Worth - my thoughts exactly. Especially the pitcher who was mouthing off that he had to be pulled from the game. I like their coach but I can remember some snide remarks from him against our guys when we played them. Their whole athletic department are smart alecs that I just can't find myself rooting for any of their programs.

I am pretty bitter at all the Lexington kids that Louisville has on their roster. That should never happen, and even worse that their starting short stop is the brother of one of our players. It shows that they wanted to play for a winner and wanted to play for a team that had better coaches and facilities. There is no other reason that they should be able to cherry pick players from Lexington. Add that to the Vandy player being a 1st round draft pick and from Lexington and it stings even more.

I can't pull for Louisville because the better the do the more they will pull away from us. You see it with the in state recruiting. We cannot just sit by and let them blow past us. They are already by us by a large margin. We have to do something to step it up.

Man, louisville media and fans are all-in on the notion that the homer was really a foul ball. I only saw two views on ESPN, and while in one it looked foul, in the other you could clearly see the ball abruptly kick left after it hit the pole.....But the article I just read in the CJ makes it sound like the ball was pretty obviously 20 feet foul, and there must be some otherworldly explanation. Like incompetence or cheating.....

Well it was pretty hard to tell from the video. It does look like it kicks, but it isn't as though we have a great high definition zoomed in shot of the play. Still, the completely unbiased officials, who were unaffected by the crowd and not even on site, ruled that it was definitively a home run. The way I see it is that it was called that on the field and with or without replay that was the result. Replay didn't really help or hurt them there because it was the same call on the field as the replay booth, and it was by what they called 100 percent proof. So, you can't really be upset about it.

Further, I think that Burdi was struggling that inning. If he doesn't give up that home run then he might give up a hit and I think that inning might have still produced a run for CSF. I think Louisville just left Burdi in too long and he was feeling tired that inning. Amazingly, that was only the second loss of the season for the entire Louisville bullpen.

CB3..We can all cry till the cows come home and it won't do any good...ATT$$$DES have changed at Otis and until ATT$$$DES change at KENTUCKY and things are taken seriously besides basketball the status quo will remain the same...Sad but true :football::baseball::uzi::angry::angry:...And I will NEVER pull for Otis and I don't care if their entire team is made up of Kentucky kids...Although I do like that they sport Louisville Slugger equipment something I wished KENTUCKY would do...

^^ Very true. What I am hoping is that people get tired of the success Louisville is having and want to step up our program. One way, IMO, that you know that Auburn and Alabama have the greatest college sports rivalry is that when one program does something the other one responds. If Alabama does something to improve a sport then Auburn will do everything they can to improve it as well. Just look at basketball. Auburn went out and got Bruce Pearl and Alabama knew it had to respond so that Auburn would not be better than them at basketball. Alabama went out and tried very hard to get a big name college coach before bringing in what could be an excellent hire with Avery Johnson. Conversely, Alabama wins a national title in women's softball in 2012. The very next year, in 2013, Auburn went out and hired Clint Myers who had an amazing record at Arizona State and he got them to the WCWS this year, their first trip ever. Each school does something to improve themselves and the other school responds so that they don't get left behind. UK does not show that same sort of commitment when Louisville does something to improve themselves. Instead, we just sit on our hands and worry about basketball. I don't know if it is because we look at Louisville as little brother or what, but it is time to consider them a real contender and someone that we should strive to be better than in every sport rather than just believing that we're better than them regardless of the results.

Comeback, that may be the post of the year. That describes the current situation between UK and UofL perfectly. Regardless of how you feel about the dirty birds, you have to admit that in the grand scheme of things, Louisville is ahead of UK in athletics with the exception of basketball.

Jurich was just on Wave 3 and said they have replay they should use it. I'm very confused because I was watching the game and I thought they did use the replay. After the replay the official said it was 100% a homerun. I watched the left fielder and by his attitude I thought it was a homerun, if he thought it wasn't he would have had a different reaction.

As far as I remember they did review it and took quite a but of time to review it. At home, I couldn't tell if it was a home run or not.
