That speaks volumes about this team! It also makes more confounding a couple of the losses ( Ark, tOSU and GA in particular).
Holding firm in my assessment of this team that they - for the most part - simply play to the level of their competition overall. And when the competition sees Kentucky and rises to the occasion, Kentucky tends to not and has to play catch-up, disrupting the entire flow - thus, you get results like Ohio State and Arkansas. Not excusing those performances at all, especially Arkansas, but I think data would support this observation.
I interpret it as we could easily lose in the early rounds of the tournament, but no one is going to want to face us in the Elite Eight or later.Sucks we had the injuries and a few bum games, but the only great team we've lost to is Bama. Basically 7-1 against the top 15. 10-6 against the rest. Kinda crazy but I'd take it over the inverse.
