NFL Combine....

Thanks for the links. It sounds like Miller has some work to do. I flind the Bud's cooridinator part kind of funny and sad at same time.

Darrian ran a 5.51 (official) 40.

Its not fast, but not really slow either. 5.0 at the fast end and 5.75 on the slow end are the times Ive seen on Olineman this year.

Sad part is miller was by far vand away our most athletic lineman.

It's slow......for a tackle......which, he's likely going to be a OG at the next level. 40 times for lineman are rather meaningless anyway. The 5 and 10 yd split times of the 40 are the better indicators to watch. He's actually done ok in the cone and 20-yd shuttle drill.....which do indicate a fair amount of agility.

4.63 is really slow for a back his size. I really thought he would have been in the low to mid 4.5's.

marshal at auburn and mariota at oregon ran in the 4.5+ range. really shocked at that. all the times have been slower than i thought. bud could really move up tomorrow if he post the kind of numbers he's thinking he can.

Mariota was a fraction slower than RG3 but is considered a more polished passer. Should be interesting. Hope someone opens the checkbook a lot to jump up to the Titans to get him.

Marshall is making the switch to DB. Posted a respectable 40 time. Should be intriguing to watch who picks him up.

Just saw the top-10 RB times, 4.57 was good for 10th. Heard may not be in bad shape, given his game film and the others. Let's hope for the best for the young man.

I love how they completely skipped zadarious first run with a commercial and on his second run they showed the last half of it and never mentioned a peep about him. They literally touched on every single guy but him and instead talked about some guy who got kicked out of the combine. I stayed tuned in to this thing just to see our guys and as usual they get dissed.

Not yet. Notice they just showed the agility drill with zadarious and they never mentioned him again lol. If you didn't know who he was you would've not known who it was at all.

Bud posting great numbers and making dudes look slow...

6-10 is looking very possible...jets, bears, falcons, giants, rams....

falcons need a defense badly...bud would be a solid start to rebuilding a foundation...

the knocks on bud from these analyst crack me up. he was one of only a few guys that had to be gameplanned for. every team we played had a plan for "bud dupree" and he still managed to get great stats. he's not perfect but he did get shuffled around a bit.... 3 years he's all pro

Bud and Fowler are the two best pass rushers in this draft, IMO. They're both gone in the top 10.

Guys that are 6'4 270 lbs shouldn't be able to jump that high, jump that far, or run that fast.

Will be fun to watch him on Sundays. I look for him to go in the first half of the first round. Were starting to get a nice cast of cats in the NFL.

Dupree's vertical coming out of high school was listed as 36 inches on his Rivals recruiting page. Remarkable improvement.

It may be hard to argue that Bud is still a little raw. He got moved around quite a bit in his time at the college level. But pick him a spot and give him 3 years and I am willing to bet any knocks on his instinct and first step go away. He just needs some time with talent around him in a stable system and rotation and he will really exceed what we saw at UK. JMHO.

I also thought by the comments from the NFL Network guys that he wouldn't get drafted in the first couple rounds. All they did was say negative stuff about him. I think they are just looking at where he played college ball at and are automatically judging him as not as good of a player than he really is. We see the same stuff when some of our recruits' rankings drop after committing to us. I wish he could have done more of the drills to keep showing what he can do.

What a goofy system. Led the Mini-NFL (SEC) in tackles, was 3rd in Sacks for the year, and just showed to be the most physically gifted player in the draft.

Absolutely no way he doesn't go 1st round. He's an elite Defensive end in any system and an elite OLB in any system.

Bud is blowing all of these so called "experts" draft lists out of the water. Bud doing this well and not being ranked highly by all of the guru's has led to his accomplishments being down played. Mayok had one kid ranked as the #1 LB prospect for the draft and he ran a 4.95 40yd dash. Mayok then says that he may have to "re- evaluate the kid". I thought that was hilariously indicative of how these "experts" slant their evaluations until they are exposed for how shallow they actually are.

I am ELATED that Bud has annihilated the competition at the Combine.

If he had went to Meeeeechigan or the awful OSU these guys would be all over him.

Where's all this negativity coming from?

I watched the entire combine coverage on NFL network, and I didn't hear a single person bashing Dupree. They talked about his pros/cons......like they did anyone's. And just about every analyst has him projected to go in rd 1-2.

I didn't hear many pros when I was watching, but then I only caught it during the 40 yard dash and I heard nothing but cons.
