Next weeks game determines the direction of our season

Will probably lose to both.....we just aren't that good. If NIU had 5 sacks tonight, how many do you think a good SEC defense will have against us???
Well UT doesn’t have a good defense, so……

Let’s just improve and win. Over the next 7 any margin is good enough. Just win baby.
Agree. We have one game where we just don’t have a “chance” of winning and that’s Georgia. We could win that game but it’s not a given. The rest are team I believe us to be better than. But two of those are at their place. Ole Miss and UT. That makes those games tougher.

In the SEC every game is important. These guys are going to lose somewhere. You’ve gotta have amnesia. Whatever happens, we’re ranked 7 now when the polls come out. And we’re in SEC play. Let’s battle.

Tennessee game is way less important if we drop the ole miss game. Don’t put the cart before the horse.
TN game would be much MORE important if we lose to Ole Miss. We could lose to Ole Miss and still be right where we want to be if we beat TN

Yep. The gimme games are done. It’s time to see if we’re as special as we want to be.

The reason that is being said is UT has to play Bama. And they will more than likely lose that game. And that’s before we play them. If we beat Ole Miss and they lose to Bama we’re a game ahead of them going into Knoxville. Less pressure on us and more on them to get the win. Lose that game in Oxford and we have less control over what happens, especially if UT pulls out a miracle over Bama.

That makes sense I suppose, but I’m just saying we still “likely” control our own destiny if we lose to Ole Miss.. “Likely control” because, as you said, Bama will probably beat TN, and TN still also has UGA too.

And those bastards don’t want this Kentucky Dick. That’s 3 losses right there and I suspect there’s two more coming. 5 loss team or more as usual.

We win and the world is our oyster. We will be in the drivers seat to determine our destiny.

Need to go down to Oxford and kick some butt.

It becomes a must win to get where we want to go.
No kidding. That's been obvious since we beat Florida.

If we can get to the tenn undefeated then there can be serious playoff talk. Both games are important but there are several games between the 2

This game is the difference between a good season and a potentially special season. I think we'll play our best game yet, but will be close game even if we play well.

Not entirely. UT IS going to get beat by Alabama and (or) UGA. They are guaranteed 2 (1) Losses.

even w an L to Olemiss; we control our destiny in the UGA game if you win the games you’re favored in and @ UT.

Beat Ole Miss and only win against the teams we're favored against the rest of the year we'll be 10-2 and almost a lock for an NY6 bowl so, yeah, right now it's our next game and biggest game of the year. Lose it and we have to beat UT to make it as the next big step. Beat 'em both and lose only to Georgia and we are possibly more than NY6 and in the running for a playoff spot depending on other pieces falling into place.

Ole Miss of the 3 BIG games that we are likely to be underdogs in seems like the easiest of the 3 to pull off and that's not a knock on Ole Miss but Georgia is on another level than anyone else in the country and Tennessee, who I want to beat more than anyone, is just a f#cking house of horrors for us and even when we should win, we don't.

It is time for SEC wins other then the easy miz, usc, and vandy. can't keep going 3-5 4-4_the two times 5-3. You wanna be known and get respect around America you have to win these top 25 match ups. No excuses.

Agreed. 9 and 3 this year won't do much for me. Time to step it up.

I’d agree with this if Kent St. didn’t put up 22 points on UGA and make them look mortal.

UK Fan Playbook

Game 1 - (First OOC game) "This game is big. Need to start off the year well. This game will help set the tone for the rest of the year."

Game 2 - (The first challenging opponent.......this yr it was Florida) - "This game is one of the biggest games ever for Stoops. Win and we're going to have a good year. Lose and this season is likely going to be a disappointment."

Game 3 - (Back to an OOC opponent) - "We can't lose this. A loss will set this program back years. Win and we're in good position for the rest of the year. This makes this is very big game."

Game 4 - (a mid to lower SEC opponent) - "This game is huge. If we ever expect to rise up, we have to win these."

Game 5 - (Another SEC challenge) - "This is a very big game. We have to win this or it's another Music City Bowl bid.

Game 6 - Georgia - "Well, we really don't match up. I would love it if we won......but as long as we beat Florida and/or Tennessee we'll be ok."

Repeat for the second half of the year.

Well if you want to play that game , Georgia is bigger than either. But we need to win at least split these two for Georgia to mean much .
Im not playing games. We're not beating Georgia.
That's why Tennessee is most important and determines direction.

Beat Ole Miss and Tennessee we are going to the Sugar Bowl.
Lose to Ole Miss and beat Tennessee, go to the Peach Bowl. Maybe Sugar is still in play.
But lose to Tennessee, it's Citrus Bowl again or less.
If we want to go to new heights, it will probably depend on Tennessee.
