Basketball season is starting, UK football is fading. If Stoops wants to keep the whole fan base on board the rest of the season, they can not lose to Missouri. Especially if the offense sputters. Scangrello may be coaching for his job this week and against UL. I don’t see anyway he survives if they don’t win at least one of them and maybe both if they only win one but the offense struggles. It’s just glaring how badly the offense is underperforming.

A loss here and we are looking 7-5 right in the eye and maybe even 6-6 the way The Dirty Birds looked yesterday.

This season started out with so much promise, yet has turned into MASSIVE disappointment.

After 10 years of waiting for enough talent to actually compete for an SEC EAST title, once again Coach Stoops goes CONSERVATIVE and gets humbled. How many times does he have to see this transpire before he changes his philosophy????

How many teams in the country could go in there and win that game last night? Maybe 2.

UL looked decent. They played like they cared. But let's not go overboard. Yes they caused some turnovers but Wake imploded. That was a fluke. They still can't stop the run

Ed the game wasn't 34-24 or done such. If so I'd agree with that premise. But it was a complete dismantling. It was competitive for a quarter. UT-Martin played with UT for a quarter.
UT Martin was a noon game that their players didnt even have to get up for. It was a game before the interception before the half. It went from 20-13 to 27-6 off that interception. 99.9% of the time if I win the flip I defer to the second half. This was the one senario where I would have taken the ball. UT scoring in 90 seconds was a killer mentally. I still say no more that 2 teams could win a night game in Knoxville

I agree with your premise but many teams could have scored a lot more than 6 points and many teams with less offensive talent to boot. You have to admit that there is something bad wrong with the offense at this point. They may get it figured out, they may not need to move on from Scangrello. However, if it keeps going the way it’s going, something has to give.

Plenty more teams wouldn't get run like that.

I didn’t think they could win but I had it at something like 45-27. I thought they would throw the ball much better. The pick before the half killed them.

It isn't a must win as we should beat vandy to get to bowl eligibility and then have a winnable home game against louisville too.

Playing in one no one cares bowl is the same as the other. No one is getting excited about 8 and 4 or u and 5 at this point. Credit to Stoops for that but this years team way underachieved.

Probably zero. Not even Bama could do it.

Losing is not the point. It's HOW we lost and the dire situation of our total lack of ANY COHERENT OFFENSIVE IDENTITY.

That was an embarrassing display of non- competitive football. I love CMS but he has got to get offense and special teams fixed or we will be battling Vandy for 14th. place again soon.

Here's a little stat that should scare the hell out of us: Missouri has now had three straight games where they've held their opponent under 300 yards total offense. And Scang gets to scheme against that D...on the road.

Before the pick before the half they were right there. That killed them. Now the second half was a joke. Levis shocked me with some of those throws.

Levis mental acuity in these games is really concerning. Game is too big for him mentally. The only good passes he made in the second half were to UT defenders.

Calling a game at pitiful Missouri a " must " is a stretch ... the shit is already in the bed .. the milk is spilled .. the chick is pregnant ... the must win games are gone .. you could upset Ga and the turds at Ole Miss , home to So Car and getting humiliated last night dont erased that odor . Its a stain that will never go away because we will never .. NEVER have offensive talent like we have on that side of the ball right now . Unless the staff and philosophy are replaced.

He played great in Athens last year. Great in the swamp. Great at Louisville. UT may just be that good. I hate that but they are possibly the favorite to win it all. I just hope UGA can beat their ass next week.

I really think he has regressed this year, and especially since the early hits and injuries.

Also, the new offensive scheme and play calling never allows him to get in a rhythm.

Wandale Robinson also made several of his errant passes last year look better than they actually were.

WR did not help him at all last night.

I’d disagree, our chance at a special season ended with the USCjr game. As long as we win 1 more to get bowl eligibile that’s all that matters.

Not really. Florida held us to 276 yards of offense, their best this season. What got them beat was Richardson’s two picks that gave us two very easy TD’s.

The line is worse and no WanDale is the problem. Ali was a good receiver too.

Been 10 years not exactly looking amazing on that front.

Louisville is
#1 in Sacks with 33
#4 in Turnover Margin at +11
#8 in Tackles for Loss
52nd is rushing D but UK is tied for 109th in rushing O..

WL playing great in Athens last year is a stretch. He was less than 5 ypa which isn't good and a good portion of that on the last drive. He didnt have a multiple int game but he never threatened the defense. He has all the physical tools to be great, but there is something missing, not seeing the field or understanding coverages. Hevjust puts the ball in a crowd too often.

That is the game that put him on the nfl radar last year.
