I would venture to say Cottrell's interest in UK and his tweet about it might sort of be tipping the hat to this hire being a reality. aTm is going through a coaching change so Craig is likely actively looking. Sounds to me like the puzzle pieces fit together pretty nicely. With Vandagriff officially in the fold it might be even more attractive for him to make the move now.
With his daughter being in school here, he would be a nice fixture to hang around the program and be an influence on the guys even in an unofficial capacity.
