Yes, he's playing the wing at Kentucky.Me like a lot. Wonder if Cal will let him step out to 3 pt range as he was dropping them in the video. Looks extremely versatile.
Thanks for the feedback. Always good to hear from people very close to the situation.Yes, he's playing the wing at Kentucky.

Outside. but with his length he is a nightmare inside against smaller players. Is he better suited to play inside or outside? I imagine he'd need to do both at UK? But you know better than I.
Great prospect. Obvious take when it became clear Bridges was headed to Lansing.
But a reality check when it comes to this mix tape: Gabriel shot 7 of 43 from 3 point range in the Adidas AAU games you can find stats for online. Like many a big (ger) guy UK has recruited (Lyles and Towns from last year leap to mind), his form is decent, but expecting him to be any kind of 3 point threat is taking a leap of faith that's unlikely to be rewarded.
Agree 100%. That and on the boards. His biggest strengths right now are that he's incredibly long and incredibly quick off the ground. That's the foundation for a lot of good things, particularly on D.I don't think anyone's expecting him to be a deadeye at 3/4. I think he'll be a threat to knockdown some outside shots, though.
His biggest potential may be on D. Those forwards who can guard 5 positions are at a premium in today's game.

All due to the good people of this forumA rival fan with twice as many likes as he does posts was a mathematical impossibility on this forum but you pulled it off. You da man.![]()
I expected KAT to face up more and shoot from the perimeter. That didn't happen.Love his game. Could be deadly in a pick and pop role.
Any idea what his 3 pt stats are?
7'1"Wow we recruiting a lot of length in this class. Anyone have a wingspan for him?
Every Gabriel thread is 99% about offense. This kid. is to be flat nasty on defense. His biggest potential may be on D. Those forwards who can guard 5 positions are at a premium in today's game.
I feel as though we are close to turning you into a UK fan. We really need to get you into some UK gear. Please let us know how we can go about this. All due to the good people of this forum![]()
kub how would you break down Gabriel's game? Forget about what the sites and gurus are saying. What are your observations? Strengths/weaknesses.All due to the good people of this forum![]()

He's extremely long and can move very well for how big he is. he's impossible to score on because he's so long and can affect shots and his motor is amazing. he rebounds really well due to his length and plays extremely hard. his shooting is good and handles are good. he's been working strictly on the perimeter all fall. his weakness is he has to get better and just continue to improve on the perimeter as he becomes more uses to playing out there.kub how would you break down Gabriel's game? Do you think that he will be at a disadvantage on the perimeter against D1 competition at least initially or will he have the speed and strength to stay in front of players from day one? He's extremely long and can move very well for how big he is. he's impossible to score on because he's so long and can affect shots and his motor is amazing. he rebounds really well due to his length and plays extremely hard. his shooting is good and handles are good. he's been working strictly on the perimeter all fall. his weakness is he has to get better and just continue to improve on the perimeter as he becomes more uses to playing out there.
