Just spoke with Miami (Fla.) Killian OLB/DE Shemar Smith and Kentucky offered him yesterday. Tommy Mainord is his area recruiter down in Miami and was the coach that offered him a scholarship. This is not a huge surprise as Mainord extended a bunch of Florida offers a while back but it's a sign that UK is definitely making south Florida more of a priority.
Smith said Mainord likes him for his edge rushing ability. He will visit over the summer. Starting to really see recruiting pick up and says Mainord is the coolest coach recruiting him.
