New commit

That's a good pickup at center. I mean the offensive line looks pretty good some of the guys they've got looking at the stats.
Every bit of the money we got for nil needs to keep going towards offensive line and guys that sack the quarterback. We can't sack the quarterback it don't matter

Anybody know how good these transfers are? Evan sounds like a good one.
247 has us as the 10th best portal class and On3 has us as the 8th best portal class.

On3 does it a little different, and is a good measure if our transfers coming in add more to our team than our transfers who are leaving did:

This proprietary algorithm determines if a school has improved its overall team talent, stayed the same, or declined in talent during the transfer window.

I believe that means we have the 8th best improved roster so far comparing guys who left to guys who are coming in.

By what criteria are they determining this? I mean, Keenum hardly ever saw the field but can you accurately say the WKU tranfer's talent is better than Keenum's with the limited time on the field that Keenum has accumulated? Same with pretty much every transfer - they're going to a different team with a different staff in, many cases, a totally different league. How can anyone evaluate them accurately?

I believe a lot of it is based on rankings of guys coming in vs rankings of guys leaving? I’m trying to figure it out completely and not sure I have an answer for you.

Regardless, 247 has us as the 10th ranked portal class.

The lower level guys moving up are really hard to know their impact. His production is good at that level. It is a good pickup and better than taking a highly ranked high school player that has zero production.

So, what is everyone's guess on the 2-deep OL next year?
Good question….here js my stab in the dark
I’m going to name the school cs kids name since they are so new

LT…Bowling Green transfer/Malachi Wood
LG..Arkansas transfer/Jager Burton
C…WKU portal/Aba Selm
RG..Jaylen Farmer/Aba Selm
RT…New Mexico transfer/Malachi Wood

I suppose spring will sort out where guys like Crease, Hayes Johnson, Marc Nave, etc will land on the depth chart. I hope the young guys don’t get pissed and leave…..but that is usually the case

So, all five starters could very possibly be transfers (Farmer from the year prior, the remainder this year)? That speaks volumes about evaluation and development, does it not?

It’s a hamster wheel….if you keep portal shopping…the high school kids see the depth chart already established….snd some will just bail

So then when portal kids don’t pan out your competition is severely damaged

To not be able to get Keenum able to compete to replace Eli Cox was yet another failure on developing the young talent. Same thing happened with Deondre Buford

We need to hope Aba Selm, Malachi Wood, Marc Nave etc don’t see the starters already set as a reason to leave as well

It is such a shame. Going from 2 star to AA Bunchy Stallings to where UK is now.
