The D struggled last night for a lot of reasons but in truth we had a lot of guys play their first significant snaps . Ware , Jones , Allen , Westry ,West , Edwards , Middleton plus JC transfer Miggins all saw their first snaps in front of a SEC size crowd against D1 speed and size . I think they were guilty of a lot of deer in headlight type moments and that contributed a lot to the lack of sustained D intensity there was a lot of thinking then reacting instead of read and react. The O will have to carry this D till it finds a identity . The return of Johnson and Flannigan this week and Hatcher the week after will help . Still this group will have to jell as a unit to become a respectable D.
