#awkward if this comes to pass. Might also be some fights breaking out. Dunno, think they are still pissed about Marrow, McWilson, and transfers?
No. There is a whole new coaching staff in place and I really don't think the players give any thought to McWilson. I also don't think any of the players care about kids transferring. I've seen several current players still tweeting and wishing luck to guys who have transferred, including Braylon Heard.
But playing in Nashville would be a disappointment to Nebraska fans. What would that mean, a 7 win season?
Something like that. And Nebraska's schedule sets up amazingly well this year. Assuming they get past BYU in the opener, I'd be surprised if they don't get at least 9 wins.
FWIW, the Music City Bowl has upped its' game in recent years. Most schools lose money/break even on their bowl trip. For the fans, bowl trips are about a nice location (i.e., weather in DEC) and a decent opponent. NE in Nashville would certainly meet one of those criteria.Would love to be in a better bowl but that would be a great match up.
And again, in asking fans for perspective, LSU when to the Music City last yr after going 8-4 (4-4)
who among you wouldn't be thrilled to death if we posted that record this season?!?!
Teats on a boar.Yea, I'd prefer 7 wins or more and a better bowl, but that'd be a great matchup for the Cat's. They may not be what they once were, but Nebraska's still a big name in college football.
+1Those of you turning your nose up at the idea of being in the Music City Bowl must not have been paying attention this past season when LSU & Notre Dame played in it last season....
