Neal Brown

WVU has to travel a 1000 miles for conference games. No wonder they struggle recruiting. Hopefully they get an ACC invite soon for their sakes.

I was consistently disappoint in Browns schemes during his time here. They said he came from run and gun, spread offense, I was yes please, more of that, but he ran lunch pail, up the gut, and drop back passing and never gave the offense an identity. Troy can have him back.
You know that was Stoops right?

Played many years and understand Football just fine ! Coen Called a bad game for at least three quarters of the game ! Am i glad we have him? You bet your ass because he like Stoops will only get better ! I
so do u understand if u know football so well we were without our starting LT who will play on Sundays and started all 12 games this year . That and other players out is why we coukd not protect Levis .

Yes i knew he was out but he was also one of the weak links on our line all year ! I know Left tackle with aright handed Qb is one of the toughest positions on the line but most of the sacks all year came because of him ! so i thought it would be a push with all the talent recruited the last couple of years and i really expected more out of Flax !! Hay i can admit when i'm wrong !

I also turn the Vol. down so I didn't know about Cox missing until after the game

For me it was Personnel Issues 4th and one putting your smallest back in when they shutting down the run most of the game ! The line was intact except for LT
Putting Horsey out at LT had Quentin Wilson at LG who struggled also

Yeah i didn't know Cox was out also when i wrote that but putting one of our smallest backs in on 4th and one or two wasn't the brightest move ,, not sure if that was Coen or Settles

Coen didn’t call a bad game. He had no line blocking to allow any of his normal schemes to work. Plays take longer than 2 seconds to develop. Yours is a bad take.

Cox was out also. These kids aren’t going to perform at the same level as a group who plays together all year. I think the lack of adhesion showed but was proud of the way they came together to get the job done.

I really like Neal Brown as a person and as a top flight OC. However, I just don’t think he has the chops to be a successful head coach. He has a bit more Satterfield type approach than Stoops - meaning you question if he’s willing to do everything and anything to win (like Stoops). Doesn’t come across as the win at all cost competitor that is required to win big.

Not gonna happen. WVA brings no TV money to ACC with it's <2M people & dropping. B1G screwed the pooch when they took NE for the same reason. At least UC & UCF will be closer for WV.

We have a good OC.
Coen will be a power 5 HC or NFL OC after next season.

The McVay coaching tree is too hot, and you need 2 seasons with an offense to really show what you got. I expect Kentucky’s offense to be dynamite next year, and I think by game 9-10 we will know Coen is gone, I believe he will coach out the season, but he’ll be a shoe in for a big time job somewhere.

I’m a Falcons fan, Matt Ryan has gotten a lot of OC’s promotions, so it’s constantly like 1 okay year with a new coordinator, then a great 2nd year with everybody on track with the coordinators offense, then the coordinator gets another job. Sans Koetter and Sark, they absolutely are coaches going nowhere, congrats to Sark for riding Lane Kiffin’s wake as OC at Alabama and getting a major HC job to fail at.
