Without a healthy Butler, Robinson, Carr and Kriisa, is it reasonable to expect a first-round win in the tournament ??
As much as I hate to say it, I'm not sure it is ... these injuries just seem to be too much to overcome.
I guess it will depend if we can earn a high enough seed to be slotted against a team we match up well with.
I am still holding out hope for our injured guys to heal enough to be bigtime contributors in the tourney ... we simply have to have them. I would love to see us make it past the first weekend !! GO CATS !!

It’s a worry, especially if 4, 5 or lower seed. A 12 beats a 5 every year (or almost every year) 13’s beat 4’s pretty often it seems. I would feel pretty good if we secured a 3 seed. Doesn’t look likely now though. I hope we can get Butler and Robinson back. Even 80% healthy would be better than not having them play at all.

We basically gave away the game in Austin last weekend, and trounced the Vols in Rupp the game before that, both shorthanded. I don't think we should cancel our schedule and give up just yet.

Yes, if we are a 3-5 seed which we should be, then it would be brutal to lose in the first round. We would be 7+ point favorites against all the 12 seeds and 10+ point favorites against 13/14 seeds

Lipscomb is projected as a 13 seed and we beat them by 30 earlier this year, though that was one of if not our best game of the year.
