I heard that too. Slip of the tongue in the moment, but they sure aren't helping their cause on appeal. I think they would be better off playing nice and simply arguing that the penalties are a little too harsh and that vacation shouldn't happen. By taking this angry approach, I think the appeals committee is going to basically take the vacation stuff off the table for possible reduction (realizing that is all UofL really cares about) and maybe instead reduce penalties on the probation years and scholarships lost.
