NBA GAME 5

I guess we'll find out if 2 days rest is enough for the Cavs. Don't think it's going to be. Hopefully game4 was just the refs way of keeping the series going with how badly they made calls for GSW's favor, and they go back to normal now that the series is even.

Really @LineSkiCat you think game 4 blowout was because of the refs?

GSW wins because one they are more talented, more depth, and at home. Cavs lose because they are fatigued and won't be able to keep up with the Warriors for 4 quarters just like in game four. Only way I see a Cavs W is if J.R. Smith goes on one of his cant miss nights and hangs 20+

Refs were not the cause of the blowout. Fatigue was a huge part. But the refs did make it clear through the first three quarters, that they were going to give GSW every advantage they could to even the series.

I think the game would have been in reach if they called it evenly. What GSW is allowed to do on defense, to a team that has zero depth at this point, has been ridiculous.

I'm not trying to change anyones opinion. Just throwing this out there... the Warriors do have the #1 defense in the NBA. Also the gameplan in game four was very clear if you watched it. Double Lebron and make everyone else beat you. The simple fact is Delladova, Smith, Shrumpert had a horrible game offensively.

If we really want to complain about refs though, Delladova is grabbing Curry and bumping him all over the place every single possession. You don't lose by 20 though and blame the refs lol

So you admit that the refs gave GSW an advantage, but still don't think it had any affect on the game? That makes zero sense. I don't care if GSW wins by 40... if the officials have a hand in that game (as many here admit), then the win means NOTHING to me. Play that game over, Cavs stick with them, and it's anyones game in the 4th. I'm not saying GSW doesn't win.. but don't underestimate what the game4 officiating did for GSW, and what it didn't do for Cleveland..

Not exactly an easy job for Lebron to take on the best tam in the NBA, without ANY help, and then the refs aiding GSW foir game4. No wonder he's absolutely gassed.

Pretty sure you've got some cheese on the series bro and you can't stand Bron bron...

Nah I don't gamble. Nothing in my post tells you that I have a thing against Lebron. If anything I have been applauding Lebron this series for actually shooting the ball more. Despite his low percentage number this series, it helps because just him having the ball puts enormous pressure on the defense.

Since you brought it up... you are right I'm not a fan of Lebron. Although my reasoning is I don't feel like he maxed out his potential as a player. The last two years is the Lebron I would of preferred his whole career but its whatever.

I'm a fan of aggression. I'm a fan of the ball going through the basket.

I'm not a fan of "making the right play" passing the ball to a less talented teammate.

I'm a fan of the last 2-3 years Lebron who wants to take over the game instead of relying on a average player to make a crucial shot.

I just like the killer mentality and sometimes I feel that Lebron doesn't even feel like hes the best player on the court at times.

gotta agree with you there, on the aggression part..

Calm down. I didn't type what I meant. I don't think the refs necessarily caused Cleveland to lose. They probably would have lost anyway. I think they did cause the blowout. I think it would have been anyone's game going into the last 5 minutes. I just don't think the supporting cast was doing enough to pull it out and Lebron looked gassed.

Scary thing is this is the "JR Smith Game" and the Warriors still up 1 at half. I say Warriors win by 10.

Not sure I've ever seen a player look more sloppy/out of control, yet be in total control, like Steph Curry.

Cleveland has the worst supporting cast I've seen in the finals. LeBron has scored or assisted all of their points in the 4th. In the end, he's not going to beat Golden State by himself. His team is too implosion prone. Shumpert hands the ball to the Warriors on a crucial possession. This games history.

Watching Clevelabd get mauled gives me nightmares of watching the same thing happen to Kentucky a lot of times.

I agree.

Take Lebron off the cavs & A.I. off the 2001 Sixers. Who wins a series between those teams?

The small ball has taken Clevelands second best offensive threat out of the game in Mosgov.

That said Lebron missed two layups at a crucial point in back to back possessions, which was absolutely crucial. Not sure how much more Lebron can do or if it matters when Curry is throwing up junk and making it. Curry is crazy talented but his shot selection is worse than AI ever dreamed of!!

Our UK team this year would beat the cavs without lebron. Of course with love and kyrie hurt. But stil could give them a run.

Uh no.

You have to question the logic of hardly playing Mozgov tonight. The Cavs were whining (rightfully so) about only having 7 guys due to injuries and such, and wanting to play more guys...and what does Blatt do? He plays Mosgov 9 minutes tonight after 28 and 11 the other night. You punish the guy who did well in the blowout loss but let the ones that played terrible keep on playing. Makes no sense. Now he did play Mike Miller 14 mins to help some, but gotta think the Cavs are gassed and going to have a tough time on Tuesday. I still think they win game 6 though somehow due to Lebron.

What is there to question? I mean sure Mosgov should have played more but ifGS is going small, which they can do even if Cleveland goes big, then Mosgov and Thompson are out of position.

It was clear GS used Thompson's man for pick and roll all night, had it been Mosgov that would have been worse!

Lebron is doing everything possible to give us a series and I honestly thought with a game 4 win Cleveland had it.

But to just say no Mosgov is a bad decision is not thought out completely. Was Mosgov going to help stop Curry? No!

LeBron jumping into defenders does not mean he is getting mauled. No I am not a Lebron hater.. He looks for the foul more than the bucket sometimes. He is having a decent finals though.. Ha

If you're getting zero offense from the players you went small to match Golden State with, why not give it a try(Mosgov in the game)? We can sit here and talk defense all night, but if you can't score against Golden State, it doesn't matter what you're doing on defense anyway. LeBron James assisted or scored 95% of the Cav's offense in the 4th quarter. Yes, that is a real statistic.

The only problem I have with Lebron is that people try to compare him to Jordan. Anyone that saw Jordan in his prime knows you dont mention Lebron in the same sentence, its not even close. Lebron had a head start age wise and still trails in all the categories that matter. Lebron is a great player there is no doubt about it but he isnt on Jordans level and likely never will be. That said Im pulling for GS. I like the Cleveland curse and for some odd reason enjoy seeing their championship drought continue in all sports.

Some of the Jordan lovers are ridiculous. And why would you have a problem with LeBron because other people compare him to Jordan anyway? Great players get compared all the time. If you think Jordan was better, that's fine. But to act like it's not even a debate is just stupid IMO.

Jordan was the darling of the NBA and protected by the officials. If Jordan was treated like Lebron is by the officials, he would have at least one less championship. Lebron is the superior athlete but Jordan is the superior basketball player (with or without the protection of the officails). But anyone who thinks Jordan would have won championships with the teams Lebron has taken to the finals as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers is not a bright person. A lot of people who hate Lebron are Jordan fans who don't want anyone every challenging the fact that he is the greatest to ever play the game. Then they always point to the championships that Jordan won as to why he is far superior to Lebron but when you look at the other stats they are much closer. Jordan much better scorer. Lebron much better passer and rebounder. Neither are or were elite defenders. Both are above average defenders. But it always comes back to championships. Well if that is the main thing that matters, Jordan couldn't even hold Bill Russell's jock strap. 11 is much greater than 6. I will say I am biased (not really a Lebron fan but couldn't and can't stand Jordan), but so are Jordan fans when it comes to their evaluation of Lebron. The fact is that they are both amoung the greatest to ever play the game. And I don't really believe you can establish who is the greatest because of the different times and circumstances under which the different great players have played (never comparing apples to apples). But it is fun to discuss.
