NBA Game 4 Thread

My Gawd, Smith and Shumpert might as well just go hit the showers a few mins early. They should never have even dressed out. Awful

Bron bron.. Hmmm.. Take a game off and that's the one that gets you beat. Excuses, Irving and love.. Love bron but bro you picked a bad time to not show up.. sorry but Jordan would have showed up every game .. [roll]

Lebron is absolutely gased. Has nothing to do with "showing up". Maybe Jordan had to the right idea to go play a fat-mans sport for 2 years to let his body rest. Playing 5 finals in a row must kill your body. That's another 6 weeks of basketball.. Which is 6 less weeks of off season.

I'll be captain obvious: This is a good series.

Cavs have to win the next two games. Game 7 would be next Thursday, with short rest off game 6 like tonight was off game 3. I think GS will win by double digits in game 5, and then game 6 is a toss up.

You sir, are truly special. But not in the good way.

Yeah, lay it at his feet on a night when Smith, Shumpert, and Dellavedova combined to hit 3/22 three point shots.

You might want to consider investing in some clown makeup.

Could call a holding foul on Curry, Thompson and Green every second of every game.
No body argued that point. But if you are gonna point out the fact that the refs let that go. At least acknowledge that the refs let LeBron get away with murder as well. Half of LeBrons game is bum rush you to the basket then use his bofy to bump you out of the ay so he has an easy lay up.

He commits no more offensive fouls than Curry or Green. Curry uses the off arm to push off on every step back shot he takes. When you are being held and hacked constantly by Iguodala without a call you have to create space somehow. Is it an offensive foul. Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. The man should have shot 10 freethrows in the first quater alone last night. GSW are the better team and will win the finals (in 6 games). Curry is an outstanding player and probably the 2nd best in the league. But whether you like it or not, Lebron is by the far the best player in the world. What he is doing in these finals with the players around him he has, is amazing. This series should have been a sweep for the GSW based on talent level of the players available for each team alone.

How is LeBron getting a step on his man and using his body to create space against a defender who is not in a set position, but running beside of him an offensive foul? A couple of times LeBron dipped his shoulder and could have been called, but what Curry does on the defensive end is ridiculous. I have no clue how the refs overlook it and NEVER call it against him. You could see on almost every single defensive play that involved Curry him holding or grabbing his mans arm. EVERY SINGLE TIME lol.

Warriors must get better on the boards. Every rebound last night was a struggle for them. The Cavs often had 2 and 3 shot attempts per trip.

Lebron is wearing down. I think that started showing last night. The longer this series goes, the worse it looks for the Cavs imo.

Did you hear the security guard telling the camera man, "Yes it is your fault!" Like the camera man had time to move lol. I do think it is ridiculous how close that the camera men sit close to the court. No business being any closer than 10 feet away from the court.

Cav's had such awful touch around the rim, it seemed. At one point I had no confidence anyone, even Lebron, could make a 2-footer or a put-back last night. I feel like Kentucky had this problem at times in 2012/13 and 2013/14. I would be amazed at just how unfortunate some rolls of the basketball were.

Series turned for GS in 4th quarter of game 3 going small ball, then continued in game 4 starting Igudala over Bogut. Only question now is can Cavs win game 6 to force a game 7. GS is winning it either way.

The refs definitely let them play last night and swallowed whistles. My first comment was in regard to pointing out that curry was fouling. While true. They were letting contact go on both teams. LeBrons whole game is bully ball. Iso basketball is the most dreadful thing to watch. I will agree that LeBron is the most gifted athlete in the history of athletes. But it is still an offensive foul, even when you have a step, If you as then offensive player initiate the contact to create space.

Bully ball and using your body can be subjective. What is not subjective? Holding onto a players arms and hands in order to keep them from getting away from you.

Playoff basketball is a physical game played by grown-assed men. There is constant contact. What determines a foul is a nebulous hodgepodge of whether an advantage is perceived to be gained, status of who the players are, and the referee's relationship with the players involved. With that in mind, the better refs try to let the players decide the game: the less whistles, the better the game. Just as if they called every call it would even out, by letting more go it also evens out.

Wrong. That's the attitude that has turned basketball, particularly college basketball, from a free-flowing game of team play and skill into a wrestling match where a huge percentage of teams try to play "football on the hardwood".

Basketball is at its best when most pushing and shoving is eliminated, AND THE PLAYERS RESPECT that. Meaning that the players develop an intuitive awareness of what they can and can't do, and play within those confines without constantly pushing the boundaries of what is and isn't allowed. In order for that to happen, fouls need to be called consistently, and the players need to adjust to that. Not the other way around, where the refs often seem to adjust their whistle to the players (and coaches, who naturally complain about everything to try and gain an advantage).

story of the game, lebron exposing his cock and balls on live tv. lol. unreal. wonder how much they'll get fined for broadcasting that if janet jackon's boob cost 500k?

Cavs shot 13% on shots outside the paint. Whelp.

I figured it had to be real low, but THAT low? The best part is a typical anti-Lebron friend (Who was a fan of his when he thought the Celtics had a chance to grab him the first time around, mind you) was telling me how their role players played out of their minds the first three games, and finally came back down to earth for game 4.

I know Smith, Shumpert, and company suck.. but anyone who thinks last night was "normal" for even those guys is a moron. Cavs may not win this thing, but they won't finish ANY game less than 20% from outside the paint. It just can't happen...
