Version 14.
Well this time we will have a:
8 man
4 team 5x5
1 day tournament.

Champs get 125grand each.

Each game is to 40 points.

3 nba player teams and one 1st and 2nd year team.

1st and 2nd team comes from rising star game winner.

My thoughts:
ho-hum until I seen the 1st and 2nd year players got a team. That is something thats interesting to me. Can they beat the LEAGUE?
That is some nice spice added to the dish

When I was young, I never missed the ASG. Now it’s completely unwatchable.
Does a team of first and second year NBA players winning against the league interest you?
It does me!
I will watch a 1 day tournament. I like the idea of seeing what happens.
I hope Reed Shepherd makes it on the team somehow!!!! They aint beeen playing him enough. He needs to be on that team

Nope.. Its still a trash product they roll out there with.. Its been way over a decade since I last watched any type of NBA game..

Agreed. Used to be bonafide all-stars, now it's

Sad Jim Carrey GIF

This sounds so dumb. Again, I don't care what their ratings are, the NBA is on a downward trend.
Stupid dumb, like everything else they won’t care about this either. They make so much money they barely play real games. Nothing they do will make them compete unless they made it so losers could never be all stars again.

The 3 point shot broke the NBA's watchability. I'll still tune in for the playoffs, but the regular season and All Star Game are just glorified 3 point shooting contests at this point. The All Star Game specifically feels like it's just Dame and Steph alternating half court shots.

The only way you could make them compete is to award the winners vacation days so they don't have to fake injures.

All-Star Games used to be so much fun. Now they are a joke.
Yeah, the NBA All-Star game used to be must-watch. Players still only went 80%. But 80% is still better than the half-assed garbage they’ve rolled out there for the past 15 years. How about we just play East vs. West and give a little effort fellas?

The real question is whether LeBron and his son will make "history" by being the first father and son to play in the All Star Game.

I used to watch a ton of NBA. Then I started only being interested in the playoffs. Now, if the league folded, I wouldn't even notice. It seems about as fake as pro wrestling at this point.

Why the NBA has lost viewership:

1. No stars that people actually care about. LeBron, Steph, and Joker don't cut it.

2. No real rivalries. There's no Bird vs. Magic; Bulls vs. Pistons; or Spurs vs. Lakers. There's no real high stakes at play.

3. The rise of mercenary ball. The moment LeBron went to Miami, it became open season for "teaming up." Those of us who grew up in the 90s remember how many of the league's best players sank or swam with the same franchise for years: Thomas and the Pistons; Jordan and the Bulls; Ewing and the Knicks; Malone and Stockton and the Jazz; Robinson and the Spurs; Hakeem and the Rockets; etc. "Teaming up" with their rivals was something that was mostly unfathomable to most of them.

4. Gutting the league entrails when it comes to physicality. The league became paranoid after the so-called "malice at the Palace" and began watering down the physicality of the league to the point where hard fouls went the way of the dinosaur. Finesse took over. Teams starting jacking 50 threes per game.

5. Going woke. The moment the NBA made domestic "injustice" their mantra during 2020 and 2021, while simultaneously ignoring human rights violations in the ever-profitable market of China, many Americans began to see through the political rhetoric. It made an already unwatchable product become that much easier to dismiss when channel surfing.

6. The rise of Diva Ball. Whether it's the "I'm a tough guy" emo stare down of Damian Lillard, the childishly hilarious mouthpiece chomping of Steph Curry, or the inflated ego aura surrounding guys like LeBron, Kyrie Irving, or Russ Westbrook, fans saw a lot of bark and very little bite. These guys rarely have gone after each other with cold-blooded precision the way their predecessors did. Look back on the Lakers-Kings series of 2002; or the Pistons vs. Lakers series of 2004; or the Knicks vs. Bulls series of '92 or '93. These were holy wars with the souls of entire cities at stake. The players on the court made it no secret that they hated each other (at least for those 48 minutes each game). Their best players set the tone. Now it's the complete opposite. Everyone is smiling and chumming it up on and off the court. Fans see through that and have never been comfortable with it.

You didn’t even mention these men basically wearing women’s clothing to games.
