Nasty looking injury for Tua!

Honestly didn’t look like an awful hit but to see his body lock up like that didn’t look good. Instant head trauma. Have to wonder if this could end his career? Concussions can be long lasting.
His body most likely locked up because he hadn't recovered from the hit he took on Sunday which looked much worse than the second one. The second one looked like his head didn't make much contact with the ground but I am sure that it still shook his brain up enough to further damage what had previously been injured.

Yup. Definitely did. Head made contact with the ground in the exact same spot as the last injury. Tua's head also didn't bounce back up after impact on that second one... which was also concerning.

Whether the concussed player says "I'm a-olay Frito broach feather" or not, f'n sit em. Their faculties aren't all there and it's the exact same reason they hold out players with stingers. You get lost in space easily and can't defend yourself or land properly.

Sending Tua in before he fully recovered was LITERALLY asking for another, potentially worse injury. Very dumb move on the part of everyone involved. No amount of dumb machismo "rub some dirt on it and put the team on your back" bullshit changes that.

Also, that last point isn't directed at you, LMD.

I think the NFL wanted the Tua and Joe Burrow rematch in a prime time game and looked the other way when the Dolphins decided to play him.
NFL had nothing to do with it. The dolphins were trying to stay undefeated

How about it’s his choice to play or not and if he does and it gets worse it’s his problem? Jeez grief everyone has to be a victim. What the hell is wrong with some people.
I tend to agree w/ this take in most instances; you can't take that stance here. If Tua told his coaches that he wasn't comfortable playing after team doctors had cleared him, what would their reaction have been? Also, competitors want to compete, and don't make these types of decisions w/ medical repercussions in mind. Not to mention the fact that it has to be in the back of every player's mind that they are in a fight to keep their jobs pretty much on a weekly basis. Nobody (not named shaedon) wants to sit one out and become the next wally pipp. The decision to sit for medical reasons has to come from the team's medical personnel.

Man that was scary. I can’t tell if it was the head hit or his neck flex back weirdly. I just hope he’s ok. He’s a good guy and solid teammate. Stuff like that just shouldn’t happen to players and definitely not go guys like him.

I don’t like seeing spine or head injuries after caring for my mom. They really upset me. Spending your days in a chair is not ideal. Thee guys know the risk and play the game they love but you also play it thinking it won’t happen to you. Going from on top of the world to laying there like that. Ugh. I hurt for him. I hope he makes a full recovery.

Not a Bengals fan.. but that wasn't dirty. I mean my god we've already made even a scrambling qb have basically a 3 foot radius of contact from.abovd knee to shoulders. He was trying to get away

But.. the couch neurologists last night and today were so funny. Calling for arrests on social media.. people saying hes done .. all because of a somewhat scary stiffness. It actually happens fairly often just maybe not in such a dramatic nature/setting.

I'm not a doctor but... it'd seem to me that hit ..the back of head to ground with thay amount of force would 100% lead to similar results regardless if it was first hit of season or if Sunday happened and was or was not a concussion..

However, someone who took that hard of a hit on Thursday .. who had a concussion sunday and would 100% still be having symptoms a mere 4 days later... they would have instant severe consequences that would nit allow leaving the hospital 3 hours later and flying home with the team and being somewhat cognizant. It truly could have led to death. On thr field. But, I'm not a doctor. Nor did I stay at a holiday Inn e Xpress last night.

Nope. Wrapped him up around the hips and spun around to pull him down. I think you’re confusing violent with dirty.
The Bengals are like the cousin from The Brady bunch that stinks everything up. Pretty sure they are who ended Bo Jackson’s career by riding him like a bull.

That was scary because there wasn't anything about the hit that should have caused that. I am not even sure his head hit the ground.
Even if it didn’t his head was whipped and that can still cause concussions especially when he was just concussed 4 days prior.

Now I get it. You posted about Burfict, Pacman, and have made a Brady Bunch and Bo Jackson reference.

You are having a hard time adjusting to the reality that the lowly Bengals are setting up a long run of competing for Super Bowls in the present and near future, so you are stuck in the past. Makes sense now.

Didn’t mean any arrogance by my statement. Misunderstood you. But you do you….buddy

The NFLPA exercised their option to fire this guy. It appears that he is hired by the NFL or by the NFL + NFLPA and is unaffliated with the team.

It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
