I am a positive person on this post. Yes, I called the Pope hire great. I did not fall apart when we had injuries and knew we be fine. Check my post, if you like.

We will end up a 4th seed, unless we make a deep run in the SEC tournament. Anyone saying a 2 seed is possible, is in candy land. We could still get a 3, but that is max.

Of course, we will have key matchup for television views (St. Johns, Duke, or Arkansas). This is a given, but also a mathematical probability.

If Butler stays healthy (he is the key), we are going to the final four.

You're wrong about seeding, but ok.

We were listed as a 3 just a few days ago.

At this point we seem to not only be a 3 but a high 3.

I doubt we fall to a 4.

We could fall to a 4 with loss tomorrow...possibly. If we win 2 games (one vs Bama) and TT loses to Baylor I would bet the house we are the last 2 seed. Same if we were to win 3 games and TT lost 2nd.

Folks need to realize at that point we'd have 2nd most Q1 wins and many Top 5 wins. We would be 6-3 against the current projected Top 8 overall seeds in tournament if we were to beat Bama and Florida in SECT.

It's possible but that's exactly why I think even with a L we don't drop. The resume when compared to other teams around that seed line is just too good at this point. But possible.

They are about as close to a lock of being a 3 seed as you can be right now

We’re a three unless we lose tomorrow and all of Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Iowa State, and Wisconsin go on runs. Our games don’t happen in a vacuum. Other teams matter. If we lose but they do too, who passes us and how? If we win at least one game which team will pull a resume bump out of a hat? There’s a reason we’re nearly a consensus three. Two is not far fetched if we make the SECT Final, I’d argue that a two is more likely than a four.

Click for source. Obviously this isn’t definitive but I think it backs up what I and others are talking about.

Well you just proved that you’re not perfect. We do not need to make a deep run. Win tomorrow, we’re a 3 seed.

If the season ended today (without another game) the committee would be much closer to giving us a 2 than a 4. Nothing about our resume says 4.

Interesting....can you "show us your work".
Look, I agree that if Kentucky wins a game or two, they should be a three seed. I also agree that their body of work merits one now. However, I have watched enough selection Sundays to know that you would’ve been more accurate to reduce Kentucky’s obvious seed by one. In other words, they do not usually put us where we think we should be. I cannot remember one time where we received a higher seed than expected. However, weather, my guess is an accurate or not, which is very plausible, I think we have a good tournament.

A large part in that tho had to do with the weakness of the SEC. In this world of analytics and computer metrics, the seeding is very much resume based still (and little else).

That's different this season. If anything, UK is more likely to receive a seeding better than their numbers would suggest. The SEC teams are going to get a bump this year. Much like the Big 12 and Big Ten teams have received bumps in the past.

If we made a potential run of beating OK, Bama, Florida and Auburn to win the SEC title and get no consideration for a 2 seed then they should just disband the committee. I get we have 10 losses but most of those were without 1-3 starters due to injury. That would mean we have 14 Quad 1 wins and 11 wins over top 15 opponents. Of the other potential 2 seeds only Mich St is even close and none of them have battled the injury bug like we have. UNC was a 2 seed in 2018 with 10 losses but made the ACC finals and jumped up to a 2 seed so it's happened before.

Here’s the easier question….OP who are the 12 teams with better resumes than Kentucky that you feel will be seeded higher than Kentucky? Kentucky has a three seed resume right now.
