Because he is younger.
Because he is younger.
Buddy goes top 3! If Murray can top that then so be it.
They can. But one has to be drafted higher than the other, since NBA teams can't take 2 guys with the same pick. How come both just can't be great players? It doesn't need to be either or.
Not necessarily. Someone could make a trade so that they have back-to-back picks, pick Hield then Murray, and then say "we wanted them both exactly equally so we took Hield first because we just went alphabetically so as not to show favoritism."They can. LOL No way Buddy goes top 3. Murray will go top 5 though. Buddy will go somewhere between 8-20.Buddy goes top 3! If Murray can top that then so be it.

So TECHNICALLY, one has to go first but it is possible for them to have the exact same value to the point that realistically they are viewed as equals.
. By potential? What does he do better than buddy now? I can't point to one thing. He is a better all around player to me.
Heild is NBA ready right now but I doubt he'll get a lot better..
Suns will draft him... They are in desperate need of another guard from UK.Hope you guys are right! Murray and NBA All-Star by year 2-3 would be great. However he be drafted by a bottom-feeder.
Pass and handle. By potential? What does he do better than buddy now? I can't point to one thing.
Well they both turn it over and assist at the same rate. Only difference is buddy has the ball in his hands at least twice as much. Buddy is a much better shooter and actually plays defense. Murray is not better all around. Can he get better sure. But he doesn't do anything better than the POYPass and handle
Stats do not back you up.Murray is a much better ball handler is less prone to turnovers. Better passer will play pg in the NBA. He is already close in shooting ability he is a better passer. He is asked to be the primary scorer hers but with team Canada he distributed the ball well and when needed took over the game at 18 years old dominating the Team USA pg. He is much more explosive than people realize with a 39.5 vertical. Sorry Murray goes 3 to 5 spots higher than Buddy
As a freshman Murray is developing and so no because of poor shot selection and learning the college game the stats don't. Murray is a pg who gets to the rim at will against anybody. He plays 2g for us but is a pg and projects that in the NBA so you would need to look at his international performance with team Canada to notice more of his primary ball handling and passing skills as we already have one of the best points in the game. His vertical was measured at the hoops summit. He is taller with longer arms. With his improved understanding of the college game and improved shot selection he is now shooting over 50 percent from 3 the last 5 games so no th e overall stats do not show that.Stats do not back you up.
I agree. Meeks had multiple 40+ games his last season and was one of the top scorers in the country. Tho I believe if he was able to play in the tourney that year he could have been drafted higher. That said Murray if the better athlete and has proven himself in hoops summit and this seasonHield = Jodi Meeks in terms of NBA impact imo...which isn't a bad thing.
Meeks wasn't a lottery pick either. Murray will go top 5-10.
Im not saying he won't be drafted higher, I'm saying buddy is overall a better player than murray. Hield takes AND makes these shots that murray cannot hit. If you've watched hield at all, he takes shots that would be ill advised for jamal, but held makes them. You're trying to put murray's stats during his recent hot streak against the numbers that hield has hit over 5 times as many games-----and hield is still shooting better. We are arguing over two very good players---just which one is king so far----imo, its easily hieldBuddy is not that much better of a shooter. Murray has worked his poor shot selection problem out and is burning up the nets at well over 50 percent from 3 the last 5 games. Sorry right now they are not far apart. With Buddy being a slightly better shooter and defender and Murray being a better passer and ball handler. Now that means tho with Murray just being 18 and buddy being 22 Murray will be drafted higher
