Geez Will, 3rd best in the nation as we are right now? UNC has their entire team back, UVA lost two players with 7 really good ones back, KU is loaded, Maryland, Iowa State. At least understand other teams are out there.
We have no shooting except for a juco, hopeful for Skal, Poy has not been close to being a top 10 PF since he arrived and he's coming off ACL, Ulis is serviceable, Briscoe will play out of position, Mathews is an unknown, yet we are for sure top 3?
I hope we can pull it together without shooters (plural) and the lack of big man depth, but I definitely don't see top 3.

If it's Murray or Brown, I would have to say Murray, just because we need shooting and Brown is not a great shooter. But I'll be very, very happy with either.

as i said i don't think we HAVE to get anybody as we are top 5 right now but if we want to be THE ELITE TEAM next year we need one more star . Brown hopefully but Murray would be nice . Can't see us getting both but there is plenty of room and Mulder did say he thought Cal wanted to bring 1-2 more in for sure.

HELL YES. WE need wings ( SF) . We got elite guards in ulis and Briscoe ( my favorite guard in this class) and a damn good one in Matthews. Mulder is a wing ( sorta) but Brown IS THE SF . best SF prospect in a few years really. ( since Bazz) . While Skal as the #1 pick on lock it seems like Brown and Simmons have 2 and 3 on lock so to get 2 of the 3 best prospects is a wet dream if it happened. IF is the key word .
Mulder doesn't make the regular 7-man rotation with Murray and Brown both on board.
We need a wing that can shoot. Murray can play the 3 and can shoot.
But I'll take Brown and smile.
Still no word on a visit from Murray? Matt said that he thought we should know something by tonight.
Seems very quiet on that front and coupled with the Kirk news makes me wonder if there's really something to the smoke that's starting to pop up regarding Brown. Figure Cal would be breaking his back trying to get Murray on campus for a visit unless he for sure knows something...

Once again, in light of Brown's decision, keep this in mind...
Murray is still the best "fit" out there for this team.
And if we don't get him, so be it. We will still be a preseason top 5 team, IMHO.

The way things are going, he will reclassify and pick Transy.
We currently have the best odds to win it all, tied with Duke, UNC, and Michigan St.
