Pitino about to do it.

Hurley watching.......

a woman is looking out of a window and making a face .

yup.

Houston taking the other wildcats out too. Cougars win.

I still cant get the vision of the Vols winning tomorrow and the Gators still getting the #1 seed and the Vols a 2. Beat them 2 out of three times ina year including the SECT finals only to see the Gators get a 1 seed and they get a 2. Like against East 1)dUKe.

bwahahahaha

hoooboy. its gonna be a fun day tomorrow

Amazing 6 quad 1 wins and 4 coming into the conf tournament and they are going to be a 2 seed. Bad thing for them it might ship them out West instead of playing in Newark

Some tough dudes, dogs that get after it! Seem like good dudes. Happy for Pitino. He’s had ups and downs like all of us in life but seems like he is at peace, making amends, has a positive attitude and is now reaping the rewards.

was watching with a friend and sju had only 25 points at half time. i told him creighton would be worn to the bone with about 12 minutes left. sju has been doing this all year, but lately they’ve really been a second half team. if fatigue is a part of pitino’s plan then it’s no surprise that at the end of a long season they’d be getting double digit wins.

Happened to UK in 2011 AND 2016 when we beat UF(11) and Texas A&M(16) in the SEC finals and BOTH got a higher seed!!!

FWIW it's an opportunity thing tho. If Stjohns was in the SEC, they'd have way more Q1 wins.

That being said, solid 2. Not a 1.

But this is why doing it just based on resume is a dumb idea. Because in all honesty, if they were in a better conference they'd definitely be in the discussion.

Creighton & St. John's combined to score 53 points in first half of the Big East final. Florida scored 57 in the second half of the SEC semifinal (after scoring 47 in first half). Vs. Alabama. Huge difference in styles.

I really am to the point to where, at least this time, instead of having ZIP, zero, NADA interest in this tournament when Kentucky goes out, to root for Pitino and pay at least enough attention to see that happen. Title for Pitino ? Yes. dUKe? NO.

Anything except more Flagg talk and dUKe. Anything but that.

Wow. Google gave me an hours old result. what the hell
Something similar has happened to my Hulu Live TV a few times. I've tuned into a game and it's for some reason started the feed like a half hour back in time. Now I always check to make sure I'm watching live.

Very cool they did this in the year that Lou Carnesecca passed. Fitting. Pitino is unreal as a HC. Last year they were the lone team who gave UConn a game in the Postseason and this year they are cutting down the nets for the double/double of Big East regular season/Tournament champions. Awesome achievement from some hard playing MF'ers.

St John's has a competent athletic director, good for them.

Yep. Jury’s still out on Pope. But you’ll never convince me Barnhardt put much thought into that hire. He got turned down by our guy (Hurley), his guy (Drew) and then went and just got a guy he knew wouldn’t say no.

Really wished we had someone smart enough to look at Ben McCollum. One of the most dominant d2 coaches in history and only 42. Now sitting on 30 wins in his first D1 season. Not even remotely surprised

St’ John’s will be a 2 seed. Probably with us as their 3 seed.

Potential Pitino vs. Pope game for the Sweet Sixteen. That’s a ratings bonanza.

If we are a 3 seed, like we should be, I bet that is what happens.

Pitino 1st year St John 20-13 & 11-9 in a much worse conference and get this didn’t even make the tourney
The Coach you think was a mistake is going to be a 3 seed
Think before you type
Johnnie’s play home games in tourney of course they win of course it was rockin
Play it in Omaha & see who wins

I don't think you can really base anything off year 1.

I'm going to give Pope some time here. Plus it's not as if year 1 was all that bad. We are basically a top 10/top 15 team here. And that's even with the massive amount of injuries this team has endured.

Wow, tough crowd here. Pope was hired late with zero roster returning. Yet, he has eight wins against the top 15. He beat two #1 seeds and swept two games against a #2. He lost two of his first seven players for the season and two more were hobbled for weeks. Notwithstanding all of that, we are looking at a #3 seed in the NCAA--same as last year when we had two NBA lottery picks. Oh, and his performance exceeded Hurley and Drew by a country mile. Thank you Coach Pope for wringing every ounce of production (and then some) from what you had to work with.

Pitino is an absolute killer.

Providence
Knicks
Kentucky
Louisville
Iona
St. John's

There's only one place he didn't get it done: Boston.

It's crazy that he's been dominant in four decades.
The guy absolutely belongs on the Mount Rushmore as one of the 4 greatest college basketball coaches of all times. Imagine what he would have accomplished if he would have stayed on & was still coaching here. 6 or 7 national championships, 14 or 15 Final Fours somewhere around 1,200 all time wins. Wonder how many times he has cussed himself for leaving here

I really wish they would put St John's in Duke's bracket.
A potential Duke v. St. John's Elite 8 game in Newark would be electric. There are a ton of annoying Duke fans up here in NJ with zero ties to the school, but you'd have to imagine St. John's fans would turn out well for that game too. The atmosphere would be awesome.

Pitino did a great job this year, but looking at their non conference wins this year, their best win is…(checks notes)…against a 16-17 Kansas St team. IMO, the Big East is as bad or worse than the ACC this season.
