Brock Purdy, selected last in the NFL draft, out played Brady last night in a blowout. How the mighty have fallen.

Brady is 45-46, has a new GF who could pass for his daughter. You think he is superman?
I had no idea he had a GF already so I had to look it up.

MY GOD

Surprised there is no real comment on how excellent Purdy was doing it.

The kid posted a QBR of 92.3 in his first career start against a top 5 defense and Brady. Sure the Bucs offense has stunk this year but their defense hasn't. He put together 5 TD drives in his first 6 possessions.

And yes the 9ers are stacked. But Jimmy G hadn't posted a QBR over 75 all season. A 7th round rookie doing that is really something. He threw more 20+ yard TDs from outside the pocket in one quarter than Jimmy has in his 9ers career.

The 9ers offense has been great since the CMC trade. Went from 21st in DVOA before the trade to 4th after. #2 passing DVOA in that stretch. But this is the first time the QB has been the key part of that.

Who knows if he can keep playing well or will be inconsistent like rookies generally are. But it's impressive even for one game. Following a pretty good performance coming in cold off the bench against Miami.

Who imagined when they sat at 3-4 that they'd be in a position to clinch the division in week 15.....

Hate him or not, his longevity has to be admired. I used to hate him—now he’s one of the last athletes left still kicking that played when I was a small child. At this point, he’s one of the last connections to sports and my childhood. Everyone can think of a athletes that held on for a long time that played when they were a kid but also well into your adult life. Eventually that list of larger than life names you once watched as a kid runs out. He’s one of the very few left on my list, and I can’t hate him for that now that he’s not with the patriots.

Can’t help but think of the early to mid 2000’s every time I see him play and that’s always a fun trip through time. Good times.

We played against Purdy all four years of his college career at ISU and Iowa beat him all four years. He was a pretty decent college QB but never did much against us.

First class dude though. There was a time he was projected to be much higher than a 7th round pick. Something told me the 49ers got a steal when they took him in the 7th round.

Dre Greenlaw was brave enough to ask Brady to sign the ball that he picked. I loved that, Brady is trully the GOAT, really needs some help this year though, wish Gronk would come back. I believe the article said Greenlaw was 2yo when Brady started his career.

Totally agree. I watched the game and was mildly blown away by his poise and decision making. He made a couple of throws under duress looking like the second coming of Patrick Mahomes. The future looks bright for Purdy and the '9ers
