If you had to name the greatest Wildcat football win in your lifetime what would it be? I know varying circumstances due to age excist. As an outsider I would say the most surprising win I saw you guys get was against the eventual National Champs LSU in '07.

I had a friend who hailed from your great state who went bannanas after that one. He was the lone Wildcat in a roomfull of Gators and when he saw that score popup you would have thought he'd won the lottery.

Was at uga away game in 2009. That was a good one.

Remember beating LSU and Arkansas both in 1999. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's the last year we've not had a losing sec record (4-4).

Deciding the day before to take my then 8-year old son to the UK-Tennessee game in 2011. It was probably the only time that Joker and staff actually out-coached the other team.

Beating Tennessee is a great feeling I'd like to experience more often.

In historical hindsight, I was also in attendance for our last victory over the Gators.

In games I did not have the privilege of attending, it's hard to top the 2007 win over LSU. My wife and my brother and I watched the game at the Two Keys tavern.

It's a paltry selection , realizing that after thinking about it made me disgusted enough to not pick at all .

UL v UK in 2002, I think, when they had Ragone and we beat the hell out of him. So much talk that summer about his heisman chances and UL running the table. It was great especially if you're born and raised in Louisville.

GOCATS!!!!!
We were a double digit underdog if I remember and smacked them in the mouth. I bet the money line and made a bunch. Who was our d lineman that was in Ragone's kitchen all night? I think it started with an H maybe.

Dewayne Robertson and Jeremy Caudill were the tackles....can't remember the DE's

I was thinking of Jeremy Caudill, don't know where I came up with H. I was watching the game with my son in law who was a UL fan I kept yelling Caudill's name. Great night.

This Georgia game. In the past, it wouldve taken good breaks to win a game like that. In that game, we were just the better team. We even finished the game with a ball control offense that milked the clock and clinched the game.

You could just tell THAT game, that group of kids was turning a corner.

'07 LSU, I actually rushed the field for that one. I really thought that '07 team was going to go to a New Years day bowl. If we could have turned "fatigue and injuries" off that season, we would have went to a major bowl game.

Easy...Ala ...Couch &Yeast

I have to go with ending the streak against UT in 2011. Never will forget that chilly afternoon at CWS. It felt like a bowl win and was a great way to end an otherwise disappointing season. LSU in 2007 is probably second.

Hmmm.....living here in the Ville almost any win over UofL goes at or near the top of the list.

2002...that was sweet as the Cards hype machine was in full force preseason and we squashed it immediately.

1998....laying 68 points on them and honestly being merciful that it was only that much.

1997...with Ron Cooper mocking us all during the offseason about our no contact practices and then watching his face as we went up 21-0 before you could blink.

and of course Stevie Got Loose, well that was about as cathartic of a sports experience as there could be for a UK fan living here. :)

No Brainer LSU in 2007!

Man, this is a tough one, but I will go with the 97 KY Bama game because I was in attendance and helped tear down the goalposts. Those things are still heavy as hell.

It has to be 2007 win over LSU. LSU was the eventual national champion that year. I didn't do the research but I would suspect that it is the only time we have beaten the national champion.

Most satisfying was UofL 2007. Their fanbase was convinced the BOBBY era would continue with Krags. We proved them wrong.

But my favorite win was LSU 07.

Most satisfying was beating UT. No major football program should lose to any other program that many times in a row. They need to stop choking against UF and then we can relax and just focus on winning.

Games I was at:
1. Beating Penn State on the road in 1977 as a boy.
2. Beating UT at knoxvegas in 1984 with my frat brothers.
3. Beating Clemson in the 2007 bowl game with my son.
Games I wasn't at:
1. Beating LSU in 2007
2. Beating Bama in 1997.
3. Beating Louisville in 2007.

Going WAY back for this one. I lived in Vicksburg MS in 1973, amongst avid Ole Miss and Miss State fans. UK came down to play MSU in Jackson, and State was in the top ten. Some of my MSU friends magnanimously invited me to tailgate with them, and to attend their "victory" party afterwards. MSU was a 2 TD favorite.
Sonny Collins ran for 200+ yards, and UK blew them out 42-14. That aftergame party was to this day one of the best I've ever been to.

Some really good choices guys, hearing your games is very entertaining as I love college football because of the passion. The NFL is great but I think I love the college game even more.

One more question for you guys. Do you see the Cats winning the SEC or even more with Stoops? I don't discount anything due to Baylor being in the top 5. I think you guys have great potential . A beautiful stadium, passionate fan base evidenced by basketball, fertile recruiting grounds nearby in Ohio.

2007 LSU

#1 in the country and eventual National Champs....hard to beat that!
Agree, this was THE game for myself. When we stopped them on 4th down I shouted so loud and so long I lost my voice, LOL.

Just an incredible feeling, because like most UK football fans, I expected the worst.

2nd would be when we beat Alabama; can't recall the year though, but that was another highlight for myself.

No doubt about it....not a close second.
2007 UK defeated the #1 ranked and eventual national champion LSU Tigers.
Complete with Dicky Lyons MONSTER block that would draw a season's suspension under today's rules.
GBB!

Several good choices already mentioned, one of my all time favorites was winning the 2006 MCB over Clemson, when we were one of the biggest underdogs in all the bowls that season, had not won a bowl in 22 years, had a number of losing seasons in a row, had started the season with a complete ass kicking by Louisville, suffered another one at the hands of LSU, but rebounded terrifically. The stadium was packed in Nashville, and UK played about a complete of a game as I can ever remember. Just a great, great and wonderful day.
