If you had to choose one, and yes I know Monk chose UK already, but who do you take and Why?
They are both incredible players.

Well you gave it your best shot op it's ok. Atleast you don't buy the bs like some of the other 8 page threads people continue to defend their losing opinion

Considering that Monk has signed with UK, and that he's rated ahead of Alkins by EVERY SINGLE SCOUT IN THE WORLD, this doesn't quite compute as a legit question.

But anyway, the answer is that Monk is a supremely gifted athlete. He's one of those players where you legitimately worry that he might cut his forehead on the rim. And he's just as good a shooter as Alkins, maybe even better. Alkins is a great prospect, but Monk is the type of guy who can make other elite athletes look ordinary.

Easiest question to answer ever. I wish my finals consisted of questions like these.

Both are supremely gifted athletes. Not sure why everyone is ragging on the OP.

Monk is better than Alkins. We still might get both.
We aren't even recruiting him anymore according to the people who would know , despite what the kid might say . Why would we be really as Alkins and Monk would never play for the same school . And Monk is alot better then Alkins . But Alkins is the 4th best guard in the class and a top 15 player whoever gets him is getting a physical beast.

Monk and Alkins would never play together? News to me.

It's not the comparison but choosing between a signed player and another player is no way to support who's in the BBN already . Seems harmless but just doesn't feel right and no good can come of it really .

Gotta go with the 'Buttel on that one. Seems like every time he played, the Cats won by 20-30 points.

Stats don't lie. ;)
Sam Malone probably has the biggest average margin of victory in UK history. I'll take him.

I see no problem with the question. I love Alkins game. But, yes I would choose Monk but not by much. Just depends on what kind of guard you prefer. If you like the bigger, more physical guard, Alkins is your guy. If you like the slasher, more of a finesse player, Monk is your guy. Both can shoot the ball well, but slight edge to Monk in that dept. If we were to somehow add Alkins, it would be the best class in the history of recruiting and almost certainly 5 freshman would start. Would be fun.

Well the one who can shoot the ball is Monk... Alkins is on the level of Eric Bledsoe or M. Teague shooting the ball. He is can get streaky hot like the other night but isnt known for shooting.

As much as I like Alkins..... Monk is Dwayne Wade in his prime like with a way better jump shot.

Honestly I would have said Alkins several months ago because I didn't know we were in such good of a position to land Monk, I thought we were out of the race. Monk is the top SG in the class and some say the most explosive they've seen in a while and is deadly from three....and is said to have limitless range and also off the charts athleticism. So Monk and its not close.
