…because Mitch is our AD?And you people wonder why we can't have anything nice.
Ahhhh, the race baiterNo. This needs to happen. You hire this guy and he’ll be gone in two or three years and we may very well never come back from it.
You wanted Pitino LOL its doesn't get ANY MORE braindead than that! What is sad on how cucked and brain dead this fan base is to allow a hire like this
This is exactly why I've been laughing at this board since last night. I understand he doesn't have the most stellar resume, but that's because he hasn't been coaching too long and has been at Utah State and BYU. You're not even allowed to bring caffeine on campus there, that obviously affects the type of players willing to play for them. He’s the exact opposite of the guy that just left here
Better than pope! You wanted Pitino LOL its doesn't get ANY MORE braindead than that!
BYU beat Kansas, San Diego State, Iowa State and Baylor this season with a team picked to finish last in their conference. Also, they damn near beat Houston. Lmao dude can coach. This is exactly why I've been laughing at this board since last night. But he's literally exactly what people have been clamoring for for years. Program first guy, understands the importance Kentucky program, and will recruit guys who stick around. And yet he's being welcomed with threads like this.
Precisely how I feel right now.No. This needs to happen. You hire this guy and he’ll be gone in two or three years and we may very well never come back from it.
You do realize we are ranked right? With 7 high quality wins. Smh. The guy can't help 3 of his 8 man rotation going downPrecisely how I feel right now.
That asshole is talking to himself. He forgot to log out of his other account…😂 @Terrapin_StationYou do realize we are ranked right? With 7 high quality wins. Smh. The guy can't help 3 of his 8 man rotation going down
Nope. Just quoting myself and bumping thread. Have made it quite clear that I am CincyUKFan…
Mitch likes to rush things and if we aren't careful he will give Pope an extension just because that what he does!Don’t kill me and I know beating a dead horse , but Mitch should have waited on Billy D before even thinking about hiring Pope. Just my opinion, Pope would have still been there if things didn’t go well with Billy D.
Look at the date of the post. It was made the night the news broke.OP, maybe I missed it, but this is the first time I’ve seen an unhinged post from you in a long, long time. Posting a phone number after a loss on the road to a ranked team is unhinged IMO. You’re better than this.
Brainfart should have only given Pope a 3 yr contract insted of 5Unhinged and yet suprised that coaches are turning you down.
You called someone at a restaurant? Who has a wife who is private, Christian, and introverted?
And now you’re calling your AD?
Maybe your AD knew there weren’t great candidates who wanted the job this year and was biding time strategically to get a better hire?
You all need therapy and some of you should be institutionalized.
This thread is the example of why you’re where you’re at and yet some of you don’t have a hint of self actualization and Continue on because “you’re passionate and that’s what makes you Kentucky”

Just curious to what you think Donovan's record would be right now.Don’t kill me and I know beating a dead horse , but Mitch should have waited on Billy D before even thinking about hiring Pope. Just my opinion, Pope would have still been there if things didn’t go well with Billy D.
He won back-to-back titles with Lee Humphrey and Taurean Green as his starting backcourt. That at least should count for something. Neither of those even got served a cup of coffee in the NBA. Donovan had a stacked frontline, but still. Green and Humphrey leading you to back-to-back titles? That's impressive.Just curious to what you think Donovan's record would be right now.
Billy was never a more with less coach.
When he won big, he was stacked with talent.
Have you noticed what he has done at St.JohnsYou wanted Pitino LOL its doesn't get ANY MORE braindead than that!
He's two buzzer beaters away from being 22-1 this season.Have you noticed what he has done at St.Johns
You suckHe's two buzzer beaters away from being 22-1 this season.
My bad. I visited RR as least I could during the coaching search. Sucks that the post with the office number hasn’t been voluntarily taken down by now much less ever put up, but that’s life.Look at the date of the post. It was made the night the news broke.
Most of us were unhinged when Pope was hired. I repented by mid-summer and have been willing to give him a chance since.
I'm giving the guy 4 years to turn the program around and get us back to at least the Sweet Sixteen.
Lee could shoot the ball and the other 4 got him good looks. He won back-to-back titles with Lee Humphrey and Taurean Green as his starting backcourt. That at least should count for something. And when Billy D said no (not if, when) then what would we have done? Yes, maybe Pope would have still been there, but none of the players still would have been in the portal. The best case scenario is we would have then been in the same exact position as we are now coach wise with an absolutely horrible roster.Don’t kill me and I know beating a dead horse , but Mitch should have waited on Billy D before even thinking about hiring Pope.
