Missouri/LSU announcers: "Another foul on Kentucky"

Not Kidding Joe Biden GIF by The Democrats

At least they saw it, I was ready to punch whoever the guys were calling our game last night. “The more physical team gets the whistles” Guys pulling each other down “that should just be a no call, I like it when it’s play on” “Great call, these refs are letting them play” Good lord they were bad.

Those 2 announcers for UK would be B team high school announcers

One more game gets ref’d like the one last night and I’m probably just done for the season. If I were a Georgia fan I couldn’t have even enjoyed it. Just completely ****ing awful.
I definitely had it on mute and turned it off when I realized the refs were not going to even things up.

Watched the 1st half of the Mizzou/LSU game. The announcer said "Another foul on Kentucky" twice during the 1st half and then said "Foul on Kentucky, foul on Kentucky" at halftime.

Pretty clear the whistle was bad.
This true or you being funny? Either way it’s hilarious

It was clear mid-way through the first half that the officials weren't going to let us win, even if we came out playing like the '96 Bulls.

It takes an A game to get a win on the road this season in the SEC, but you shouldn't have to play an A++ game to get a win over your opponent *AND* the officials.

Even if the officials had been consistently bad on both sides to where it was more even, we still wouldn't have won with getting nothing from Jaxson and Brea, unless Butler went for 33 again.

I just watched the game this morning, after having seen all the complaints about officiating so of course I was looking for it. What bothers me the most is how often the flops were rewarded. It's one thing to call a game tight, but it's another to let one team bait you into bad calls.

And the UGA loving announcer one time said "I think that was off of Kentucky...they should definitely go review that!"

They showed a graphic on the official definition of a flagrant 1/2. In there it said something about deceiving the ref into believing they were fouled (e.g., flopping or exaggerating/acting).

Since they made this so-called "flop" rule, I've seen maybe 3-5 total calls and they were flop "warnings". I have not seen any flop flagrants/technicals issued. Granted I can't possibly watch every single NCAA game, but at least in the ones I've watched with plenty of "acting" and flopping, it's never been called. And in most cases, especially in a UK game, we are always the team called for a foul when the other team flops/flails/overacts.

That's not a fair prediction though. We will never know how those guys could have played because they never got a chance to get going. That argument has never made sense to me. If they can't play the game they can't do good and they can't play basketball without a whistle being blown. I wouldn't have been upset if they just stopped playing defense all together and just stared at the refs the entire possession.

We could have won that game even with our poor performance. But the officiating made damn sure we never had a chance. I hate saying that. OSU beat us and so did Clemson but this was a robbery. Not the end of the world. Definitely feel screwed over though.

Yeah I wish they were more cavalier about retroactively handing out flagrant fouls for apparent flops. Even going overboard and possibly getting it wrong a couple times would be better than not addressing it at all, just to send the message that we don't tolerate flopping. Make that an emphasis during the non-conference season and by the time conference play starts the problem would take care of itself.

As much as they like video reviews these days, they need to review every one of the fouls that appears it could be a flop. If the player wildly flails, the ref should know it wasn't that violent of a foul. Go look - if the kid flopped and there was little to no contact, call the T.

Using the review would tone down flopping dramatically because coaches/kids would realize they are at high risk when that ref goes and looks at it in slo-mo.

You NEVER see a FLOP called. Thus it is a pointless rule, since flopping has no consequences.

Exactly right!

The play by play guy seemed to think we still had a chance with under a minute left and down double digits. He kept asking analyst Richard Hendrix( former Bama player) what Kentucky needed to do to get “back into the game”

I don't like turning basketball into Rugby or whatever but I can deal if we are allowed to thugthizzle as well but it only worked in one direction meaning trash.

That crew absolutely decided that Georgia was going to win last night. We had drives to basketball and all we got were no calls, every time Georgia went to the basket it was a foul. That's how ine team shoots 40 free throws and the other has 15

Pope also should have gone off on the refs for that flop. Our player wasn't even close after shooting the 3pt shot. They called it cause it happended in front of the Georgia bench. The dude was falling backwards while he shooting.
