Bwahaha, they fired a coach they could have traded to another organization for some draft compensation....because that would have been time consuming, and hard work

Not feeling good about Will's career while he is in Nashvegas

Yep so stupid. They absolutely could've traded him.

Also agree on how it impacts will. Starting off with an immediate change in staff and system. Never a good thing.

Anyway it happened, Vrabel needed to be gone.

Will was/is in somewhat of a bad situation. If Vrabel stayed, I doubt there would have been many changes. The Titan's OL would have gotten him killed. Now with a new staff, Levis will be in his 4th different scheme in 4 years.

They have to decide if Will is who they want to build their future around and hire accordingly. Invest in some OL protections for him and he could be a damn good QB. Josh Allen like. (The Bills Josh Allen)

I'd go get the Lions, Texans, Bucs, or Browns OC...

Detroit guy seems to be sought after. The other 3 are worth a look. Anyone who can put up points with those QB situations and help those franchises in general be competitive and get to playoffs deserves a shot.

Vrabel was solid, but he probably maxed out. Defensive guys are really limited in the NFL these days due to the game being so offensive and specifically QB oriented.

I think Titans realize that they need some pop on O, someone who can develop a young QB and develop a system around him.

Vrabel isn't the guy to build an offense around a young QB and develop him with in it. He's more of a guy who would be better taking over a team with that is pretty solid on O, specifically QB, and just doing his defense "patriot way" thing.

YES !! Please get an offensive minded coach
He needs a offensive line more than he needs a offensive minded coach. Bring someone in that throws 40 times a game before they fix that shitty line, Levis will have a very brief, short career. Look at how bad Henry was this year behind that line. Henry is elite and struggled, what the hell do you think Levis will do if he is put in the position to drop back more ?

Just because a stupid drunk uncle once did a $1 online donation to 15 club don't make them an """NIL GUY"""

Of course we'll never know the truth, but an insider on the radio just now said they asked the Titans management about Vrabel 5 weeks ago and they didn't hesitate to say he was their guy as they thought he was a top 5 coach.

I didn't catch the insiders name as I didn't hear the beginning, but they said things took a 180 when Vrable went to New England during the bye week, hung out with Kraft in his box and said "you guys don't know how good you have it here" when he spoke to the crowd. That comment seemed to really rub them wrong as if it was a shot at the Titan culture or Nashville.

Almost sounds like they decided to dump him before he dumped them.

And sounds like he could be on the Patriots short list too.

I don't like any aspect of any of this.

**I completely understand that rumors are rumors......but they don't help the optics.**

1st - Vrabel is a great coach. He wasn't the issue by any stretch of the imagination

2nd - There is a rumor that Vrabel didn't want Ran Carthon as GM. If this is true, why didn't they go with Vrabel's guy? Has the relationship with Carthon been well? Did they examine the potential relationship before they hired Carthon?

3rd - Rumor is that Vrabel wanted more input and control. What was he asking for and what is the harm in not giving him more control?

4th - The vast majority of the players voiced their opinion to keep Vrabel on board prior to his firing. Was this taken into account?

5th - Rumor that front office relationships have been deteriorating for the last few yrs. Even to the point where there's a rumor that Vrabel might want to take a few yrs off from the NFL to get his mind right. What happened?

6th - What is best for the organization long term is to develop Levis. Gutting the coaching staff (especially a proven one) greatly decreases the likelihood of stability and development for Levis.

7th - What is best for Levis is stability and being familiar with a system. This doesn't help.

8th - Gutting the coaching staff likely lowers the chance of Henry returning.

9th - Gutting the coaching staff likely lowers chances with free agents and decreases faith/loyalty of the current roster.

He'd be lucky to get traded. Unless Jon Gruden shows up in Nashville, WL will have a hard time.

Owner Amy Strunk noted that they did have some possibility of trading Vrabel. The issue is that it likely would've taken 3-4 wks or more to get a deal done because other organizations would slow play the process to examine the coaching carousel around the league.......leaving the Titans without a coach when the carousel stopped.

Not sure Id give the reigns to a guy that just started coaching 5 years ago..

Agreed. Apparently it was a done deal behind scenes. So they keep a Bill B guy after things soured late with Bill B and the franchise on the field.

I hate these situations as promising someone a job rarely works out and it's always wise to interview multiple candidates.

Beginning of the end for the titans is when they traded AJ Brown.

The owner is an idiot.

The Titans are going to be at the bottom of the totem pole regardless.

Make the trade and take the draft pick. Picks SO valuable. Just stupid.

Plus Vrabel is a damn good coach. Hope he gets a good gig.
